This is probably politically incorrect and there has certainly been no mention of this in the news. But DH pointed out that isn't it a coincidence that the falling crane that killed about a hundred in the giant mosque in Mecca...a strong wind blew it over....just happened to occur on 9/11.

I don't think it was karma, either, because they were innocent people at their place of worship. They had nothing to do with 9/11.

((Karma doesn't work the way you guys-OP-are figuring it to work. It mostly applies to how one's own actions are directly responsible for the the way the universe responds to them-as individuals. If I am a wrong doer, then a wrong doing is going to come to me. Not to an entire people for the actions of a few. This is, of course, simplified. I should also point out here that *wishing* for a retributive karmic action to occur to someone for a real or perceived wrong is, in and of itself, bad karma.))

That you think 100 or so innocent people praying who were killed in a freak accident somehow deserved it as punishment for a totally unrelated tragedy that occurred 14 years ago says far more about you and your spouse than it does about karma.
Even entertaining that thought is just awful. Why is the trend lately to say horribly offensive things and expect to be applauded because you are rising above being "PC"? You're not more evolved, you're spewing hate.

Wow. We have a friend/coworker who travels to Mecca every couple of years at great sacrifice to himself and family all in the name of being a faithful follower of his religion. He even has brought us beautiful gifts from there. I assure you that he isn't anyone that "deserves" death because of 9-11. Not every Muslim is a religious fanatic just like every Christian is not Kim Davis.

I'd like to say I am shocked or horrified that people think these things... but sadly, I am not and here is the proof.

Lots of my good friends are Muslim. My Granny's doctor was a Muslim 50 years ago!!! We aren't all evil and horrible. Most of us have regular jobs, live normal lives and are happy, kind, gentle people. We have problems but the 99% of us are normal happy people. 1% are terrorists. They are the ones who make the news, though. |
