I think it would depend on the family sense of humor or kidding around in that regard. If your stepmom knows that she isn't particularly well liked, then it was a very bad move on her part.

I haven't read all the threads yet but at first view, this is hilarious to me. Mainly because my husband and I joke about each other's families similarly (gorillas, donkeys, etc.). We've been married almost 14 years and have been together for 16, so for us it's kind of "fair game." LOL Though, we would NEVER post it on FB or any other social media site because not everyone understands our humor.
After reading a follow-up comment about how she's been threatening divorce and is a grade-A biotch to everyone, then yeah - I'd totally be insulted and annoyed by that post. In a "you got a lot of nerve, lady" kind of way.
