If I had Oprah's money, I'd do a big give-a-way... you get one, and you get one, and... everybody gets one! But as it is, you're going to have to pay for yourself. It's worth it though. These things are amazing. My husband bought us each one because we were so impressed with the Yeti cooler we have. Well, these tumblers are even better. I don't know what kind of elfin magic they make them with, but they really do keep a drink cold -- with ice still in it! - all day long. They would make great Christmas presents. We just gave one to a young lady last night at her 18th birthday party. It may just be my new go-to gift for while.

Have you tried it pout with hot beverages? My DH would adore one of these if they keep coffee tongue-scalding hot for a while.

They are wonderful. I can sit by the pool all day in our 100+ degree heat and my ice stays frozen all day. I love mine!

Tell me why it's better than my overpriced Tervis tumbler and I'll consider it

For $65? I don't think so...
But thanks for the suggestion, I would love to have one!

Do they have one with a handle - or make a handle for them? Arthritis is a b!tch, and holding a full cup is not easy some days. I love my Tervis because of the handle, but if I could find something that would keep ice longer and has a handle I'm all for that.

I was just looking at the cooler yesterday. What makes it so great? It doubles as a bear locker, which is nice, but does it keep ice for 45 days? That's kind of what the tag indicated.

Okay, to answer a few questions --
I've heard they are equally as good with hot beverages but I haven't tried that yet.
I *was* a huge Tervis fan and it was the best product I had tried... up until these. Honestly, these are waayyyy better than Tervis.
We have the larger ones and my only complaint about it is I have a hard time getting my hand around it and it can be heavy when it's full. I'd prefer the smaller one I think. I have the do the two-handed child's grip with the big one sometimes. Lol.

And, ours weren't $65 --- maybe that's MSRP, but they are cheaper than that most places. Ours came from Cabelas.
I didn't know the cooler claims it keeps ice 45 days. Hmmm. Not in my experience. Unless they are doing something like a solid block with the cooler unopened or something. I will tell you we took ours to the beach and were impressed with how cold it kept everything. Normally, after a day on the beach everything in the cooler is just floating in cool water. With the Yeti, everything was still ice-cold and there was plenty of unmelted ice still in it.

We use Hydroflask insulated bottles for hot and cold beverages and they are awesome, but less expensive than the Yetis. So, a more affordable alternative Easily 12+ hours cold enough that there's still ice the water and coffee made at 6:30 AM is still piping hot at 11 AM.

I need something better than Tervis. My glass melts ice in no time flat. It is a real Tervis Tumbler. I bought it at Bed, Bath and Beyond and it's very pretty with cherry blossoms on it. Does it keep a drink cold for a long time? No. Not at all. I like it for its size, though.
I might need one of these.

Does it sweat or leave a water ring?

Thanks for review! I saw on Facebook (or was it here?) they can be engraved too.
REI has Yeti Koozies for cans or bottles, $30.

I second that recommendation! I bought the small one (the tiny hand thing!) for $30 at Golfsmith...OK, it was for DH but I took it over quickly.
I've never used it for cold beverages at all. My morning coffee goes in there at 6:30 a.m. By 8:30 a.m., it is still too hot to drink. It is amazing. It cleans up nicely in the dishwasher, no funny crevices to deal with.
5 stars!

They are heavy and it is really hard to figure out how much of your beverage (read: beer) you still have left in your can. It feels like it has a ton left, but the next thing you know you are holding the thing upside down wondering where it all went.

DH puts ice and water in his at 2am. It's the pelt ice, like Sonic ice. At 8pm, he still has some ice left when he goes back to work. The bigger ice cubes last even longer. I paid $40 for his. Best money I have spent on him in a long time.

I have the Hydroflask as well, and love it. I have the screw top and it doesn't leak. It keeps coffee very hot, and ice doesn't melt very quickly. No water rings or sweating. Katie

I don't have a Yeti koozie but I do have a stainless steel, double-walled Thermos koozie that I've used for years and you are sooooo right, anxiousmom! It's weighty and I always think I have more (beer) left....and I don't! Always a bummer, lol. L

I was looking at that brand to keep my coffee hot We have a few LOL None of them leak - either the full screw top or the screw top with a drinking "flap". We don't have any of the straw lids, but you wouldn't want that for coffee anyway. The full screw top keeps it even more insulated, but I don't think I'd want to drink coffee directly off of stainless steel - might be awfully hot! I fill an 18 oz Hydroflask (with drinking top) with coffee at 6:30 AM. My coffee is piping hot until I finish it - usually around 11 or 11:30. I knock it over now and then and it's never leaked (I be sure to keep the "flap" closed tightly so it's better insulated and no leaks).

If you have an Academy Sports store nearby, the small one is $29.99 and the larger one is $39.99. Worth every penny!

I had never heard of Yeti until this July when I was talking to someone who said that his wife worked for Yeti, and told me about their coolers. I swear, since then I have seen Yeti all over - a soccer mom with a Yeti cup raving over it, a billboard on my way to work, my kid's friend showing me a college logo cooler, etc., and now this post. I think the universe wants me to buy one!
