Well I got a response from her this morning. And by then, I had already found the solution. So I was able to complete my homework, no problem. It was a relatively minor question. I just bounced it off one of my coworkers and she had the right suggestion. I followed it and everything worked out OK. Then when I got the response from my professor, it was the same thing.

OK, so I worked all morning on my homework. It's a huge accounting problem. Basically, it's a puzzle where we have to do an accounting books simulation for a small, local government. It's due on Tuesday. Well, I got to a certain point and I'm stuck. I emailed my professor at noon. Now's it's 7:30 and I still have not heard back from her. I can understand not hearing from her between 8-5 on the weekdays because she has a day job. But 7.5 hours on a Sunday? Am I asking too much for a response so I can move forward? Almost all of my professors have a 24 or 48 hour rule in the syllabus. That can suck. Do you have a way to reach out to classmates instead? That's my go to first.

I am a Uni professor and I do not answer emails between 6pm on a Friday and 8am on a Monday, unless I am very very bored at home. Otherwise when would I scrap! :-)
