Hi all. I recently was given approximately 45 or more letters that were written to my grandma from my grandpa during WWII . They are currently in their envelopes and in gallon size ziplock bags. They are in ok shape, some tears, wrinkles, staining, etc, but most are legible. The letters written in pencil are starting to fade a little. They are just tossed in the ziplock bag.
I've started going through them to place them in chronological order and want to place them in some sort of album in hopes of preserving them and maintaining their current condition. Most of them are 2 -4 pages in length. How would you go about placing them in albums? Would you just place each letter in a page protector backed with card stock? Use photo corners to adhere them to card stock?
Thank you for any tips. I'm so fascinated by these letters and want to do the best job possible to preserve them. I'm amazed she was able to keep them for so long. She passed away in 1989 and him in 2000 and they've been stuffed in a duffle bag and in my mom's closet since he passed away.

What a fabulous family record to have! There is a site dedicated to the preservation of letters just like this: www.warletters.com/preserve/

Thank you for your response! I found this site as well, but still researching. www.bagsunlimited.com/default.aspxThe letters are fascinating. There are only a couple from her to him since he didn't have a place to store them. I so wish I could read her perspective living back home with 2 little ones and having a new baby while he was away.
