Totally awesome!!!!! It looks like a photograph so clear and beautiful. Great work on this beach scene. Don't be afraid to share more. I know we will love it here.

I'm a little nervous posting this but here's a mixed media I did a few months ago. Its my first after a really long break. This is beautiful! Glad to see you're back from your break. Sometimes my breaks last years

The only "mixing" I've been doing lately are prints from the gelli plate with zentangles. Here are a couple of my latest

Krazyk - thanks!
Your prints are gorgeous! Love them, especially the first! I've not tried gelli plates. This has really made me start wondering what I've missed though lol!
Yeah, the break- 10 years for me. Maybe 11 or something. I went into the scrap industry, then was on hiatus from that for 4 years, so now back to art again lol. I started when I was 16.

KrazyKatLady- These are amazing! I like all the colors and patterns you used from the gelli plates. I haven't tried that art form yet, either and it looks really fun. Awesome job!

Fabulous work Kelly!! I left a comment. So many people have problems with proportions when they first start, but you seem to be a complete natural for art!

Gonewalkabout- Thank so much for visiting my video. Yes, the proportions are still challenging for me especially the eyes. But I keep playing around with them until it seems ok. Even when I use a ruler, they still are tough to get straight and same shape. LOL!

Well, you can't tell you do all that work to get it right! It's so natural looking! Just about everyone I know erases their proportions at least once (more like 10 lol!), so you're in great company!
Actually for anyone who loves doing figures in mixed media, check out the cover of American art collector mag this month at your local book store. The work is by Erin currier, incase you want to check it out online.

I just bought Danielle Donaldson's class..BUT..we are still in the midst of unpacking. It has been a LONG move this time. We had to stay in a hotel for a week ...the first week of school too My husband is working 6 days week ...long days too which doesn't leave a lot of time to do the things he needs to at home ..had 2 kids home sick for a couple of days..now I am right in the middle of a cold myself. Plus we have had rain all week long. So all that to say..nothing artsy going on here this weekend . LOL..I might break out some pastels tomorrow for a piece I have been wanting to start. My husband has to work tomorrow...we will see.
