I have also added a plugin which allows everyone to add their own choice of smilies to the dropdown list that they see. They show up as a separate section under the default smilies, headed up Personal Smilies. To add yours, go to your profile, edit, then settings. At the bottom of the page are boxes where you should paste the link/URL for the smiley you want to add. You can add 5 at a time, for a total of 25 max. Here's my first... Wow ! That is so cool! I love that we can add our own smileys - I added a knitting one

Hmm, mine works fine so not sure what to suggest right now. What exactly did you paste in the link box? I'm pretty sure it HAS to be a link, and the link has to go to an image file type (JPEG, gif etc) so check those things are ok.

I can't get mine to work either. They'll show up in my personal smilies, but they won't insert themselves into a post. I'm not sure if it's an iPad thing or what. I can save the non-animated smilies and insert them as an attachment. It's not as fun as having animated smilies, but it works .

Alright I'm going to try uploading a picture and adding a smiley from my phone. This is the beach we were at this morning. And I think it might have worked! Attachments:

Can you put them in the regular box for everyone to use? On the other Proboards I go to we have a while bunch of different things like that in the box that everyone has access to.

Yeah, the click-and-drag works fine on my computer, it seems I can't do it on my iPad though. Darn.

Click and drag......? Literally? yep, once you have added the links in the profile and saved settings, click on reply in a thread, click the smiley tag, then click on the smiley you want to use and drag it into the post.

I need step by step instruction on how to upload personal smiles please, anyone? Copy and paste the URL from the smilie you want to add and put it in your settings. You can add 5 at a time I think. Then, when you want to use them, just drag them into your post.
