I am starting to fear a bit for her sanity! I'm not sure if she's playing the game well or going more than a little insane with the desire to kill everyone in her way. Yeah I don't get that vibe. I think she just doesn't want to be portrayed as anyone of value or in a leadership role because she doesn't want to be looked at as either a threat and she wants to fly under the radar so she can figure these ppl plus it benefits Rick more if she plays the role of clueless cheerleader like in that meeting.

I can't think of a way to burn them all effectively. Not from a safe distance. Flame throwers might have helped. I had a total nerdgasm over them herding them though, they do that in the comic. Seems like they have the perfect trap there though. I would have investigated ways to fix that. I know the truck was gonna (and did) fall. Seems there had to be some other way. I agree but I don't think time was on there side and their second choice we know wouldn't be nearly as exciting as the herd gathering and Darryl leading them like the pied piper of walkers lol!

Yeah but is she though this show is notorious for it looking one way and being another. I don't know how many times I have seen a preview and thought something totally different then what really went down lol. I didn't think it sounded like a car horn. More like a semi horn or something big. I'm now wondering if it was a signal, like get back here we need help. Yeah it definitely sounded like a semi horn and if it's a signal it wasn't a smart one lol.

Hmmm. If it was a signal from Alexandria...Could they not have realized the damage it would cause, because they expected the plan to go down the next day rather than right then? Or were they in the know already?
Still if you know it attracts walkers and bad guys regardless of a zombie parade, not a good signal.
Really enjoyed this episode. I was bummed my TWD viewing partner, DS had to work last night and can't wait for him to watch so we can talk about it.

Anybody else catch Glen's line when they were at the tractor place about to let the walkers out and he responded to Heath (I think) that he should be delivering pizzas. I didn't catch it the first time but did the second. (I usually rewatch it after Talking Dead) Loved the reference to his life before the ZA. We don't hear much of that. I agree with deep that it sounded like a distress signal possibly from Alexandria. I'm assuming since it was supposed to be a dress rehearsal that the ones left behind the walls didn't know all of the walkers were out of the quarry. That or it was the Wolves. They're going to be a threat this season, right?

That was a great episode!!!
The horn sounded like a semi truck horn and I'm going with The Wolves. Remember they have all those D'larno Foods trucks at their disposal.

Was it addressed as to who had put the semis blocking the walkers in the quarry in the first place?

I think it was the wolves. I think the people at Alexandria would not want to do something to attract walkers, dry run or not.

I can't believe they didn't have a back up plan for the folks left behind in Alexandria...how to get out of town and where to meet up if things don't go according to plan. Especially since their plan was so risky. Also, those darn helium balloons would not have stayed up and afloat overnight. ?

They didn't know the walkers would be coming out right then, so they thought the backup at home was enough.

Did they talk about the back up plan? I must have missed it. If they couldn't get the walkers to turn, what were the folks back home supposed to do? Carl, Judith, etc.

I thought the horn was the Wolves. I was waiting for something to go wrong the entire episode.

And I'm calling it now. I think Maggie is pregnant. When her and Glen were at the meeting and he said she needed to stay to keep an eye on things she said something like "that's not the only reason" and they smiled at each other. It seemed like a we've got a secret smile.

If you burn them they'll still walk, it doesn't kill them. I guess it would eventually stop them when all of the skin, muscle, etc burned off but until then you'd have to deal with a walking, burning, biting herd of thousands. I loved the episode. It was so confusing at first trying to figure out wth was going on in the rock quarry and what their plan was. I liked the past being shown in black and white. They would still be in the pit. Now they are headed to the town. And even if Rick's plan worked and they were 20 mils down the road, they could have still turned around and came back. I just think it was a dumb idea to let them out. The thing is though - they didn't "let" them out. In the beginning when the truck falls off the cliff, that opened one of the exits to the pit. That let them out.

It is funny, I didn't really like Abraham at first, but he has sure grown on me. The actor played a character on both Buffy and Bones for an episode. Also, how did I forget Mother Dick?

That let them out. Exactly. The exits were becoming compromised and the Walkers were already beginning to breach them - Morgan saw that when he used the binoculars at the quarry. If they didn't do something, the whole herd of Walkers were going to get out and head to Alexandria no matter what. Rick's plan was an effort to prevent that. Then the blasting horn blew that plan all to hell, it appears. L

I think Maggie is pregnant. I agree! That was my immediate reaction.
