My grandson's last football game is tonight so I'll probably grab a sandwich before the game. What's on your menu?

I'm trying out a new crockpot recipe called Creamy Portobella Chicken over rice and roasted brussel sprouts as a side.

Meatless Monday here. I'm starting with some leftover squash ribbons from last night, and trying to come up with vegetables that will pair well with the lemon/ garlic sauce on the squash.
We do have jam cake for dessert.

I bought a ton of basil at the farmers market so I think I will make pesto and serve it over whole wheat pasta with grilled vegetables. That's for my kids - I'm meeting a friend for dinner and will have a salad with hopefully salmon. Trying to eat fewer refined carbs...

Yet another late baseball practice, but at least while oldest ds practices I can take youngest ds to the library then do a quick(ish) Trader Joes shop.
Because we'll be home late I pulled meatballs out of the freezer, dh and boys will have them with pasta and I'll have mine with brocolli

I just put a Shepard's Pie in the oven. I've been making it frequently because DH loves it and keeps requesting it. Does your family get in a routine of the same few meals over and over again? It's really not a complaint on my part....but we tend to cycle thru our favorites.

I'm trying a new crock pot recipe from Pinterest called Cowboy Casserole. Kind of like chili beans with potatoes. We are just having Texas toast with it.

I put stew in the crockpot this morning. I love that dinner will be ready when we get home this evening!!
Also I am looking for some good ice cream recipes. I have been coveting akathy ice cream machine since summer. I may have accidentally seen what the UPS man was delivering. My birthday is Friday! I am so excited!!

We're having a shrimp dish I picked up at Publix grocery store. It has mango, red bell pepper, fresh spinach, orzo and mango sauce. You just pop it in the oven and bake for 20 mins.

I'm about to start some spaghetti with meat & veggie sauce, and then I'll make a couple of baked spaghetti casseroles out of it. One goes right in the freezer. We can heat the other one when we get back from Tae Kwon Do tonight.

We had 2 hamburgers left from last night, so DH will eat those, while DS and I have Kielbasa and sauerkraut. Maybe some pierogi on the side.

I think it might be just me and DS for dinner, so I'm making a fast, one pan dieh with chicken sausages, broccoli, carrots and Trader Joe's Multigrain Medley. valleyview I think most vegetables go with a lemon garlic sauce . Definitely asparagus and carrots if you have them. tuesdaysgone we do tend to get in seasonal ruts with meals. Spring and summer almost everything is grilled and in the winter lots of roasted and baked dishes. Right now I'm just starting to use the oven again so everyone is pretty excited to see things like Shepherd's Pie on the menu.

We're having Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini, focaccia bread, applesauce, veggies and dip, and a brownie-cake thing for dessert. Not sure what to call it. The men in my household will not be happy about the soup. Soup is NOT a dinner! I dusted off the bread machine and made the focaccia and dusted off the crockpot and made the applesauce in an attempt to compensate for not serving a "dinner". The dessert I made was also carefully chosen. Sometimes, they will forgive and forget dinner once they see the dessert.

My husband and his father are playing poker with the guys tonight. I'll probably not fix a meal for myself but snack on pita chips and hummus instead.

My mum will be joining us as will dd#1's bff so I think I'll have to make more potatoes and gravy ... bummer, I was looking forward to not cooking

DH Will be swinging through town tonight so the baby and I are going to meet him for dinner. Not quite sure where that will be. I asked him to pick the place and he is so indecisive! Probably Ruby Tuesdays.. He likes their salad bar.

I am fighting some kind of bug and haven't felt like eating much. I will be making chicken and dumplings using a rotissiere (sp - sorry - too lazy to look it up) chicken that I grabbed at Wally World last p.m.
Pretty easy to make from scratch. I am craving good bread and butter, too.

The boy is home tonight and asked for it- and since I am feeling kind of lazy, and it is a really easy dinner for me to make. I think that I am going to use some half and half, some chicken broth though. I don't have a lot of half and half and I do NOT want to go to the grocery store just for that.

Ham, baked potato and homemade applesauce. For me anyway. DH took the kids to Popeye's. I have to limit visits to that place. Heavily fried foods are not something my belly handles well.

I have this Jeni's Ice Cream cookbook. We've tried several recipes and all of them have been over the top good. We ordered pizza. I was uninspired.
