I'm getting a new kitchen sink and cabinet, and there are a couple options that I've never lived with/tried out (outside of the store)... For the sink, all would fit the same cabinet, and the choices are one bowl, two bowl - one larger and one smaller, or two bowls (which is what I'm used to)... If it makes any difference, I have a large and deep sink in the laundry room and I'm also getting a dishwasher so I won't be using the sink as much any more For the cabinet, the choices are a drawer that pulls out or two doors... The drawer option can be faced to look like two drawers, two drawers with a narrow third front, or three drawers... The drawer can hold garbage/recycling bins and cleaning supplies... Right now I have a stand alone garbage can with a foot pedal, my recycling is 5' away on the back porch, and cleaning supplies are in a shallow broom cupboard 8' in the other direction... I'm fine with that so I'm not sure what I'd actually keep there, let alone which option would be better suited... I'd love to hear what you love and hate about the different options... Vent and brag about what you've got! TIA

I currently have a 2-bowl sink with one huge bowl and a smaller bowl. I would pick it again in a heartbeat. No opinion on the cabinet.

one large, deep undermounted sink. Doors for the cabinet under the sink. How would drawers even work with all the plumbing?

I have the 2-bowl sink with one bigger than the other. I wanted to be able to put big pans in if needed. I went with the cabinet on the far right of your pictures

I have had all the versions shown and really prefer 2 basins the same size. As for the under sink cabinet, I prefer the traditional 2 door version.

Exactly this. they will make the drawer to fit around the plumbing....so instead of a rectangle drawer, you will have a rectangle with the back of the drawer built to hide the plumbing. Does that make sense? Let me go find a photo.

I have had split bowls in my last two houses. I hate them. I would choose the single bowl, and first cabinet because it can hold a garbage and recycling containers. I hate visible garbage in the kitchen.

I would go with one big basin. I currently have one large and one small and don't like it. I like most the cabinets, I would say 1, 2 and 4 are my favorites.

I would go for one deep bowl and the two drawer facing.

Let me go find a photo. We have garbage disposals here so that wouldn't work for us. We only keep soap and dish detergent under the sink anyway, plus we just got a very deep sink, so I don't think the drawers would be very efficient.

I'm short, so I'm not sure that I could stand in front of the the sink drawer and reach over it and down to pick up cleanser or a dishwasher pod. I'd want to try that out first. But I do like the drawers in my kitchen. So much easier than digging through the bottom shelf in the back of a cabinet.
As far as sinks, we're military and have lived in 14 different houses. I'd pick the double sink any day. And definitely an under mounted sink. But watch that there isn't a channel between the sink and the counter. Our current sink is under mounted, but there's about a 1/4" gap between the sink and the counter. Crud gets trapped in there all the time and I have to scrub it out with a toothbrush. PITA! As for the sink, I like to put dirty dishes in the sink, rather than leaving them on the counter. So it's nice to have one side for dirty (or clean hand washed dishes) and one side open for food prep or hand washing.

I don't really have an opinion on the sink but I think you should definitely go with the drawer option to hold garbage, recycling and cleaning supplies. I loathe a kitchen garbage can out in plain sight! It's so nasty! Hide it away if at all possible.

one large, deep undermounted sink. Doors for the cabinet under the sink. How would drawers even work with all the plumbing? I wondered about that too, but there's a small cut out that goes around the drain - all the rest gets plumbed higher... One side of the drawer fits two garbage/recycling/compost bins and the other fits cleaning supplies or whatever you want - I guess you could put more bins there too... Hadn't seen that type of thing until I saw this model... And mom beat me to the answer - thanks!

We are currently building and we chose one large single bowl sink that's deeper than normal. We do not have pull out shelves underneath - we have regular cabinets except the one right next to the sink will have two garbage pull outs (to the left) and the dishwasher will be on the right.

I'm tall enough to reach, but I think I'd end up standing to the side and opening the drawer, so I'd be pulling out a 36" wide drawer... I was wondering if just putting a pullout/rolling wire inserts behind each of the doors would work just as well and not intrude into the room as much... An undermount sink is on the list for the kitchen reno but this is just a freshen up to work in the dishwasher so some new formica/arborite is as bling-y as I'm going...lol Something like this

Let me go find a photo. We have a very large Insinkerator (disposal) that takes up a lot of room. We also keep a 3 gal bucket under our sink to catch the water while we are waiting for it to get hot, which we use to fill the bird bath or water outside plants. In our previous house, we had drawers and I hated them. Every time we pushed the drawers in everything shifted or fell over.

I have the two compartment sink with a small (left) and a large (right) part. Love it!!!!
Also, have a pull out cabinet that holds a 13 gallon (normal kitchen size) trashcan. It is not as wide as the one you pictured since it only holds the trash can. It is awesome - love it!!!!!! If my kitchen was big enough I would have a giant one to hold the recycling as well.

Two equal sized bowls, two doors on front. I like to wash in one and rinse in another. I don't wash a whole lot of dishes by hand, but some things I *only* wash by hand and not having two sinks would be a PITA. I like to keep my trash under the sink and away from the dogs so no drawers for me. I also keep my extra trash bags, dishwasher tablets, a spray bottle of Method and the dustpan under there.
ETA: I have a big extra deep sink in my first floor laundry, so anything oversized can be washed in there.

We are in the initial stages of renovating our kitchen.... we haven't even picked out our cabinets yet. But I have firm ideas on what I want.
Sink - I want a double sink. Preferably the second one you posted with a big one for washing dishes and a smaller one for rinsing while I have dishes in the big one.
Cabinets - I absolutely MUST have drawers rather than cupboards. That is my number one not-going-to-budge requirement. I want the drawers to be big enough for pots and pans, all my tupperware, crockery, and things like water bottles.
ETA: Oh, now I realise that the cabinet you are talking about is the one that goes under the sink. In that case I don't really mind whether it is a cupboard or drawers.

We have one big sink (just changed it a week ago) and so far I love it. You do need a sprayer to reach the corners though. I don't fill the sink with water to wash dishes so the two sinks one for soaking and one for rinsing or whatever weren't needed, and I like being able to wash big things in my sink and not having to go upstairs to use the bath tub (fridge drawers and shelves).

I got a two bowl sink (same size) but the divider is only half height which makes washing big things like cookie sheets much easier while still having two bowls. Under the sink cabinet is 2-doored but we have a full height pull out that holds a trash and recycling can, front to back. Love having them hidden. When we have parties I put a tag on the handle that says trash so it is easier for people to find.

We have a two bowl sink (one side smaller than the other) and I absolutely HATE it. I hope to be able to replace it with a single bowl sink (and new kitchen counters) next year.

It is an undermount ceramic sink.

We just upgraded the kitchen, so here's what I did.
We used to have a two-bowl sink with two bowls of the same size). Since we changed the size of the cabinet (making it a bit smaller), this big sink wouldn't fit in, so I changed it for a smaller one (full and half). At first I thought I wouldn't like it, but I got used to is after one week and now I love it.
Since my trashcan is located in my kitchen island, I decided to go with two doors under the sink.
