I love mine and use it fairly often. I have used a wide variety of papers and cardstock for envelopes. Some work better than others. Mostly, I just have to add an extra stamp on the envelopes made with heavier cardstock. Do you use a mailing label to write the address? Or do you write directly on the paper?

Thanks for all those ideas & links! I got to demo the envelope punch last year at a CKC, but didn't jump to buy it since I had the MS scoring board. Might have to change my mind

I usually hand write the address, but I see no reason why you can't use a mailing label. I have a lot of older paper stacks which tend to be thinner, and printed only on one side. Same with some of the older papers. They work great for cards and matching envelopes. When you make the envelope, you fold it with the white side out, and the patterned paper side for the inside of the envelope. Use the part you trimmed off for making the card. So easy to have them match.

I love mine and like to use up patterned paper that I wouldn't use on a layout.

I like the idea of using paper inside out. Great idea. There are lots of boxes and other simple containers you can make, especially for fun Christmas gifts. There are lots of great ideas on YouTube.

I use mine a lot. I save old calendars where the photo is nice, I think they are like 10x12 or so. I make a liner to cover all the calendar stuff on the inside and use a label for the address on the front. I also use patterned paper, but no liner on those. You should get one! It doesn't take up much space at all. You can store it on it's side like a book on the shelf.
