No but I had to use it on one of my dog's butt! Have you ever been so sick you were literally "green around the gills"?

Yes, DH and I caught a norovirus from our grandson. We were both green with nausea.
Have you ever had a motorcycle? I did when I was much younger.

Yes but it was an old car and my dad taught me how to unlock it with a bit of plastic banding that often comes around cardboard boxes.
Have you ever been ice skating on a frozen lake/river?

No, but we now live in an area that freezes over so you can do that.
In the same vein, Have you ever been ice fishing (DH's new favorite winter activity)?

Nothing more than $5 bucks or so on scratch tickets. Have you ever done a shot of Fireball?

Never tasted Fireball, though I would like to try!
Have you ever had your pants fall down in a public place? Like work?
(We wear scrubs with ties at the waist. I have been elbow deep in something and had mine slide down to my knees...not fun at the time, but a great story!)

LOL! Not quite but once while I was in college I was wearing a slip under my skirt or dress. I was walking toward the exit in our cafeteria and my slip started sliding down. I grabbed it before it hit the floor. LOL! That would of been embarrassing and funny! What is one of your favorite tv shows to watch these days?

We just watched the entire season of Madam Secretary over the last few weeks. Great show -- I really love Tia Leone. I also just started last season 3 of Miss Fisher's Mysteries. My whole family likes it -- the fashion is awesome.
ETA Forgot my question: Have you ever ridden in a milk truck? I have -- my Grandfather owned a dairy and my uncles used to take us on the routes when I was really little.

Yes. Locked out of house and car at the same time. With DD & friends waiting for me to drive them to crew practice... not my best moment.
Have you ever stood someone up?

No.
Have you ever printed photos for a crop, pulled some out to scrapbook with and put them in a "safe" place to have easy access to them during your crop and then completely forgot where you put them? (and they aren't in all the usual places - yes, currently going a bit bananas over here.)

Not photos but I've done it with plenty of other things. I just cut two laps around the house trying to find where I put my phone down.
Have you ever made a prank call?

Post by ScrapsontheRocks on Nov 11, 2015 14:06:35 GMT
I was a very boring child, a total rule-follower and I have never made a prank call. I plan on making up for this rule following stuff as I slide into disgraceful retirement in a couple of years, but not by making prank calls- that would be too boring. Have you ever had to eat your words in a really major way? I have. 20 years ago I did two six-month stints working for two different foreign experts. I swore I was DONE and resigned rather than work for foreign expert no 3. Not only did I come back to work for him but we have been married for 18 years

ScrapsontheRocks - you made me LOL..irl. too funny. Yes, but only in the sense that I now never say "I will NEVER".... because it always ends up being opposite what I say. I will never give up my own career to stay home with my children. yeah, right. I will never let a baby sleep in bed with me - DS wouldn't sleep for more than 20 minutes without touching me - 2 weeks after he was born, I was eating those words. I will NEVER EVER homeschool - the idea was horrendous to me. Been homeschooling since DS (7th grade) was in 1st grade. I think I'll start saying "I'm NEVER going to win a mega jackpot!" Maybe that'll work. Have you ever TP'd someone's house?

No, it's not something that is done in Scotland. We're too parsimonious to waste toilet paper in that way!
Have you ever abseiled or done a bungee jump? (I haven't, but would love to).
|

Post by LisaDV on Nov 11, 2015 16:45:21 GMT
I have been rappelling which is what we call abseiled in the US. I wasn't any good at it. No hand strength. And I've done the bungee styled ride at six flags. Both were super fun!
Have you ever been white water rafting?

Post by ScrapsontheRocks on Nov 11, 2015 19:03:43 GMT
I have been White water rafting. Practice run on 1's and 2's (grade of rapids) in 2 man "crocs" on the Orange River, which was really a bit of a booze cruise. The main event was the Tugela River (uThukela) in the large rafts, 5's and 6's in grade. I have a video to prove I was cowering and screaming more than I was rowing. So much for being one of the boys. (Side note: I chickened out of the bungee on the same trip).
Have you ever been down into the bowels of the earth? Really deep down?

No. I am scared of heights and going into the dark. I like to keep my feet on solid ground. Have you ever lived on a lake?

In Scotland, all lakes are called lochs, except for one, bizarrely. And no, I've never lived on one.
Have you ever seen your favourite comedian live on stage? That's where I am right now: in a 13,000 seat arena to see a Glaswegian comedian called Kevin Bridges. He has sold out this auditorium for more than 30 nights over 2 months. Chances are the rest of the world have never heard of him, but he's hugely popular in Scotland.

That sounds very cool (and I haven't heard of him, but I'll look him up). Wow, 13,000 seats for 30 nights! That's popular! I'm not that big on comedians, and I rarely go to big shows. I love classical music though, and I've been to lots of live music performances. Itzhak Perlman was one of my favorites, he chats on stage like you're in his living room. And the Music that comes out of his violin!
Have you ever been on a whale watch? We went last summer. A humpback whale played and fed and dove around the ship for over an hour. It was amazing!
