Of those mentioned, only Robert Downey Jr and Sean Penn seem to me to fit the bill. No one could convince me that Charlie has a chance of being remembered for his great acting. He's got other things he'll be remember for. Downey really hit bottom before he turned his life around. And Penn has Madonna for an ex, controversial enough? Robin Wright is also one of his exec. Both of these men deserve to be remembered for their great acting. But who wrote the list about the actor? Maybe they are taking a little creative license with what they wrote about him?

Regarding unprotected sex and blaming the partner, I agree it's not wise to have unprotected sex with a first time partner, one night stand, etc.
But when people are in an actual relationship, where they feel they can trust another person, many people eventually do have unprotected sex. At least they do IRL so I assume it would be the same for celebs. And IRL most people don't insist a partner be tested for STDs before having a physical relationship with them. Unless perhaps you had a reason for cause (which partners may or may not have had, depending on who it is who has the illness, if indeed anyone does).
It would be terrible if someone knew they were HIV+ though and withheld that information from anyone they entered into a sexual relationship with.

Based on that list of women, I'm really afraid it might be Robert Downey, Jr. He & his wife had a baby a couple years ago though so if it's only being detected now (meaning neither wife nor baby were infected), maybe he doesn't fit the bill. ETA: I just read that article and now I don't think there is any way it's RDJ. Definitely sounds like Charlie Sheen. ETA 2: And when I googled just a little bit more, Charlie Sheen's name is the one linked in all of the other gossip rags.

I just briefly heard about this on a morning radio show and for some reason the name Hugh Grant came up for me. It doesn't match the initials listed previously (I think, didn't pay too much attention to them) but now after reading a couple of things on Twitter, I wonder if it is Sheen.

I am kind of out the loop for celebrity news, but am strangely curious about this one. I have no clue who it is, but you gotta figure it someone who is older (as in in their 40's.) What that is though? I don't even know where to start.

The tabloids are just trying to create drama & speculation where there is none. It is blatantly obvious who this is & should be no surprise to anyone, especially any women who chose to be with him. He of special "tiger blood" envisions HIMSELF as far more important than anyone reading would, hence the confusion about his acting "legacy." They are just trying to stir up a witch hunt to see how many more stories & interest they can get out of it.
Not only does it all point BLATANTLY to Charlie, but it was spelled out in the Sony Hacks emails last year.
(It IS funny, though, when guessing "manwhores" that I haven't seen any B.A. guesses, lol)

I thought Charlie Sheen having HIV was an open secret. At least based on the WikiLeak email that generated no buzz when it was released back in April? Then again this email could just be a further spreading of gossip, but clearly there has long been speculation that he has health issues. wikileaks.org/sony/emails/emailid/12051I think it's going to be someone else based on the current speculation and use of "megastar" I'm not really up on celeb news, so my speculation is probably not really great. The wanting to be known as a great actor - made me think of Leonardo Dicaprio and Johnny Depp - but I haven't followed their girlfriends/wives to know if they fit the descriptions.

Ewwww the person I first thought of was Bill Cosby....
Ick. Though I don't think you could say he "dated" all of the women he raped

Reading the first article in the OP, my guess was Hugh Grant. It seemed to read as some one that's British. The quote "A celebrity with a chequered history". Notice the spelling of chequered. Another quote with a weird spelling was "Everyone is appalled at his behaviour". Could just be the author is British though. Maybe there's more places that spell like that, I just don't know them. Other than things like those spelling in the article, I would have jumped to Charlie Sheen for sure.
