I can understand your apprehension and not taking things for granted. It does sound like she may be moving on and growing up at her own pace now that she has had first hand experience of having to sort herself out. I truly hope this is the start of a new, positive and ongoing path for her. I also hope that your family can move along this path with her.

From Left to right...Tori (16), Taylor (18), Trista(11) & Trinity (20). Thanksgiving(today) went great. All the girls came and Taylor brought her boyfriend. Everyone talked and laughed...really enjoyed ourselves. Taylor is going to finish high school after the first of the year, is a nanny right now, asked to be Inculded in some of our holiday tradtions, to do dinner once a week or every other week and to come to Christmas dinner. So we are staying optimistic & just taking things as they come. Hubby was happy and so was I. We will move forward and take things as they go. Hope your Holiday went well. Happy Holidays.

So glad to read the update! Teeangers will try us to the brink but underneath it all, sometimes they surprise us! We had a great long weekend visit from our daughter and she returned to college today. Miss the darn kid already despite what we've been through together. Last month's visit was pretty bleak but this one was really awesome. She spent less time with friends (that caused drama last month) and more time with us. Glad to hear the good news from your family!

I'm so glad you had everyone together for the holiday!!! Fingers crossed that the trend and upward swing will continue!
I'm really proud of how you've stood your ground and didn't back down through all of this. I hope that I will be as strong as to keep my feet firmly planted in what is right when it's tempting to do the easiest thing at the moment.

That is wonderful news. Thank you for sharing the photo. You have been really strong, even when I know you didn't feel like it. It's nice when you can see a wee bit of a reward for those times.

This is a warm and fuzzy story. It may not be perfect, but if it's a new normal, I would say it's a pretty good new normal. Slowly for sure, but the beacon of hope shines through brightly! Happy Thanksgiving!
