I can't remember when this was posted, must be at least 4 years ago..but I have kept this list.

We hold retreats locally a few times a year, and here's the packing list we post:

Clothes for the weekend (yes, I heard these have been forgotten by someone in the past!)
toiletries - toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, makeup, brush, hair dryer
extra pillow if you need one
slippers
small blanket (the temperature can vary in the crop room, and no one is ever the same, so I usually bring a throw blanket with me)
iPod/mp3 player- headphones, charger
snacks (if you think you'll be craving something at 3am!)
soda (water is provided in cropping room, so if you have a favorite beverage for the rest of the weekend, you will want to bring it with you!)
CAMERA!!

Metal rack for tabletop*
*you will want to be sure to bring these three items with you!! The lighting isn't the greatest after the sun goes down, so if you don't have a little lamp, Walmart usually has some decent one pretty cheap. You can also get the wire racks pretty cheap at Walmart; I think they are in the kitchen storage area.

I host a big weekend crop once a year. It took several years for us to learn to bring a lot less than we thought we'd need and I think we've only been stumped once when someone called out, "Does anyone have...?"

BTW - I have plenty of openings for our event this fall here in Chapel Hill, NC. We have folks coming from WA, WV, MD, VA, MO... Will pick you up at the airport if you need a ride.

oh wow! I don't even have most of what is on that list! I figure if I have paper, adhesive, trimmer, photos, a good pen, and various alpha stickers and embellishments I want to use, I'm good. I had no idea of what I was missing! (I think if I had all that wonderful stuff to choose from, I'd never get anything done!).
