I actually changed my goal that I will start making cards for events in 2016... all pressure for this year is off! Good for YOU! With all of the major life events that you have had this past year, your mind and body have been pummelled even if you don't "feel" it right now. It really starts to hit when you will try to relax. Treat yourself & Mr. Cat very kindly over the next year and more. Grief has a sneaky way of rearing its ugly head when you least expect it.
Christmas Blessings to you and those you love.

I used to make my cards every year, but for the past few, I have just bought them. Every time I feel a little guilty about not putting more effort into my cards (usually when I receive a beautifully handmade one in the mail), I remind myself that ultimately they all end up in the trash can anyways.
Give yourself a break this year and buy cards. If you aren't actually going to enjoy the process of making them, it's just not worth it. Take a year off!

How about you order photo cards? Then you've put the effort in to add a personal touch, but you don't have to hand piece each card.

I bought some pretty snowflake cards at Michael's (50% off) last night and I have some photos of people who were at the wedding that I am going to include. I think that's as far as I'll get with them. I feel less exhausted than last night, but still just trying to survive.

Not only because they were so unexpected but that they weren't lost among a ton of other holiday cards. If if you really wanted to go for quirky, you could make and send cards for a more obscure holiday like National Pi Day, Margarita Day, the list is endless and you could start a new tradition I'm relieved you let yourself off the hook! Good for you

Good for you I did debate sending Flag Day cards since it happens February 15th. Maybe this year I'll actually do it. Or should I say next year?

Take your time and check out all the options. It could be some pretty comical research

I love making cards so if I wasn't feeling it I would go hybrid and buy more simpler cards and do some altering / adding on to them. Therefore I don't have to make my foundation, but just build a little on it and it wouldn't take much effort or time but just my personal touch.

If I can get to New Year's Eve without killing anyone, I will consider the end of the year a success. Of course, with the high maintenance people I have to deal with, that may be a tall order.
