I'm curious and would like to know how things are working out for the Pea who rescued the big white dog in Korea? Last I heard there had been one vet visit with another one scheduled.
The poor dog was having difficulty walking and they hoped it was because he was kept in a restricted small area.
Any updates? Thanks, Annette

Here he is...I think! DH dropped our youngest off to meet a friend and took a selfie with Olaf in the car. That isnt something DH normally does so, cute!! Olaf is doing great! Still as gentle and sweet as can be, walking better every day. He is mostly clean- his head still needs work but he hates the sprayer. I have just been cutting out mats, so he is missing big chunks of fur. His neck and the back of his legs are still really bad, he will have to be shaved there but he has sores under there we are trying to clear up. He is still fighting the respiratory thing, but doing better. We go on long slow walks up and down hills 2-3 times a day to build his strength. His muscles are just gone, he has none, from being chained so long. And not fed properly. His hair is not the long Pyr fur yet but hopefully will be someday with better health. His eyes are still i fected too, but better, less goo. He loves the park by our house, is great with other dogs, loves the car. He has a lot of seperation anxiety and howls pitifully if we all go upstairs or leave- its so sad. Reactions from people are far more positive than I though they would be- Korea is Land of Little Dogs. People cluck kinldy at him and tell him "strength" when we walk, its darling. He is definitely a stand out due to his size, but we already stand out here, so why not!

Love all the photos. He looks so much happier (and whiter) and whilst building him up will take time I'm sure you will get there faster than you think.

Thank you so much for the update. Love seeing the pictures, what a handsome boy he is. Your post gives me such mixed emotions...it's so sad to think what his little life was like before you but so happy to know he has found love at last. Please, please give him a huge gentle hug and tell him it's from his biggest fan.

Gail, that is very sweet of you to say! I was cringing posting the picture with me in it- I hate pictures of myself anyway, in that one it's house cleaning day and I am wearing an OB Beer t shirt and am kind of a wreck. I figured you all would look at Olaf and not me, anyway.
I detest dhs beard, but he retired from the Army in October so he is enjoying having facial hair. Hopefully just a phase...

Ex has been out of the Army for over 10 years and that stupid goatee is still there. It's actually fuller now than it was 10 years ago. Blech. Just a tiny footnote on the long list of reasons why I'm glad I'm not married to him anymore.

You are an angel! Olaf is so lucky to have found you and you are so lucky to have found him! He looks like such a fabulous fit to your family. I was wondering if Korea is your permanent home? Just wondering because you are going to need one HUGE kennel if you have to fly him back to the US! LOL!!!!!
