Ladies, I know it's way early...but I wonder if anyone has thought about an early start to their December Daily? Last year was my first year for DD and was surprised at how much I enjoyed doing it. The thing is, I find it difficult to get everything done from September on until the end of the year. It's such a busy time that I feel that if I don't get started uber-early, I'll never be able to keep up. I bought a Snap Album after last Christmas to use for this year's DD....but that's as far as I got. Anyone else start really early?? If so, what have you accomplished so far?

Great idea to get started early. My DD and her family will be here from Australia most of the month. DGD loves, loves papercrafting. I need to get an album ready and gather up supplies so we can work on one together. I think I'll start the album and let her take it over after they arrive. I know I have enough supplies to make several albums but I do need to see what embellishments need replenishing.

I've started planning mine out already. Found some great things on pinterest. Have ideas for catergories vs days. Example: traditions, decorating, resolutions, dear santa. Etc.

No, it's definitely not too early! I wanted to do it last year and was so overwhelmed. Planning ahead is a great idea, but I think I will wait until next year to try it. Last year I ended up coming across a Christmas themed Smashbook and I filled in all sorts of activities and whatnots I did. I only filled about 1/2 of it, so I plan on filling up the rest of it this year!

I've done two December Daily albums and they're fun. I love the Christmas season and try to pack in a lot of fun family things anyway, so doing a December Daily helps me document our traditions, recipes, parties we go to, etc. The last couple years kind of got away from me. I bought albums and a ton of stuff for them but only got as far as taking the photos and doing some journaling almost every day. The worst part is done, I just have to pull everything together and assemble the pages. The two years I did get one done, I used 8x8 albums and that was just about the perfect size for me to keep it from being too overwhelming. I bought another 8x8 album for 2012 and an 8x8 pocket album to use for 2013. I will get them done eventually. I think it would go quicker if the pages were at least somewhat preplanned, I'm just not that organized right now to be able to do that!

I bought an Instax mini and having been thinking about using that to do a DD this year. I have never done a DD, but I admire everyone elses. I thought I could take just one photo a day to document something special for that day...still playing around with ideas though. I will be following this thread to see what everyone else is doing!! my blog: Artful Scrapbooking

I picked out a bunch of stuff last year and did absolutely nothing! I would love to do a December daily. This year I am doing Project Life for the 1st time. I don't want to be redundant so I was going to just incorporate my DD with Project Life which I guess then it really isn't a DD. I have such a pretty 8x8 album that I would love to use for this. Maybe I will save that album for next year since I am not sure PL is for me.

I'm on the hunt in thrift stores for some vintage looking cards to add as embellishments to mine. I will get the base done and pre cut some stuff but I'm not sure I can be that person that assembles prior to pictures.

December Daily is the only thing I still scrap. I love doing it. I think it's the concept of having the pages all done ahead of time and then just making it work for each day. That works for me. I really need to use the approach to try to do an album other times of the year.

I'm hoping that the Selphy printer I bought myself for Mother's Day will help me stay on track a little better this year and maybe even get a bit caught up with the two I'm behind on. Since I never know what we're doing from one day to the next or what kinds of photos I'll end up with, it's really hard for me to preplan the pages.

I like the idea of being able to quickly print my photos at home each day. I may have to ask for one of those as an early Christmas gift. Maybe that will help me keep my DD on track.

I just ordered some stuff for mine. Some die cuts from various companies. I'm waiting until the Merriments die cuts get released in September. They are what I'm looking for

I'm really thinking about doing DD this year. I would love to start working on my album. I'm worried something great will come along in a few months though. When do Christmas releases usually stop?

I started putting a December Daily together last year but set it aside and never got back to it. I do think if I did a December Daily every year that they would be the same because our traditions don't change from year to year. That being said, maybe I'll do one this year and just have it be titled "Christmas Memories" or "Christmas Traditions".

I actually already have all of my elements. I had already started putting last years together when Heidi Swapp released her Believe line. So I have all that for this years DD. I'm excited for this year as we just moved into our first home and can't wait for the holidays to get here so I can start al the decorating

There are some things that are repeated, but as my preschooler gets older she gets into helping with more things every year so that's fun to document. We also do different new things with her every year. There have been a couple of really crazy winters in the last few years and those kinds of things make it into my book too.
