A 20 yr old Angel. I bought it when my daughter was 5 and she looks exactly as she did when we bought her. ( it's the only decoration that I keep downstairs each year, carefully wrapped in acid free tissue, in a box at the top of a cool cupboard.)

The green tree has a white wicker star that lights up ... the colours change so it is really pretty The white tree has an Avon Snowlady that is dressed in pale blue and white ... unfortunately, she doesn't light up

An angel that my parents purchased about 60 years ago. It was $1.75. How do I know this? We have the box too!

I have a couple of bows around the top of the tree. There isn't much at the top to hold anything big.

A few (I think it's called) pepperberry stems. I poke them vertically around the top of the tree top so they stick out the top. I bought a beautiful star a few years ago, but it's too heavy for this tree, and I've never been able to use it.

We have many Disney ornaments (actually many Minnie ones! lol), so I thought we needed a Mickey Santa tree topper.

A red lighted star. I too am a star girl. This is our second star since dh and I moved in together a year before we married (14 yrs).
We always had a star too as a kid and my grandma had an angel.

Our main tree has a squirrel angel. We bought it from an arts and craft show for a tacky gift exchange years ago and ended up bringing it home from the exchange. It is actually quite nice looking and so unexpected that it fits right in at our home. Our second tree has a regular porcelain angel.
The squirrel angel was made by a craftsman, but I was wondering if I could find a similar image online. I could not, but ran into this image instead and wish I still participated in a tacky gift exchange because it is awesome. It is not tree related in any way:
www.walmart.com/ip/Horse-Head-Squirrel-Feeder-by-Accoutrements-12473/38679856
ETA: I guess it is tree -related, but not in a Christmas way. I went back and read the reviews and it used to be only $15! $50 is a bit much...

A crocheted angel - my grandmother made it many years ago. Me too!! My grandmother passed away in 1991 & I won't put anything else on the top of my tree.

I always say my one Martha Stewart like ability is making beautiful (in my opinion) bows. Therefore, both of my Christmas trees are topped w/ great big beautiful (in my opinion) bows.

I have two trees, and don't have a topper on either of them. I kinda like them without one.
I keep an eye out for one, but haven't found anything that I like enough to buy yet.
