My sister did. Then she grew up, realized it was stupid, and took it out. WTF?
Since I'm obviously a dumbass with questionable life skills, I will say that I have one. I wear it on nights and weekends, but not when I'm working. I got it at 25 and I'm now 44.
I have no dental or lisping issues. I had mine done by a very well regarded piercer before piercing was all the rage and piercing joints were popping up all over.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to be a generalization on people with tongue piercings, just her individual trajectory. She got it to be a rebellious teenager. Then she got over being a rebellious teenager.

When someone who has a pierced tongue talks to me, I find myself focused on the piercing. I'm not really looking at their face and they all sounded like Daffy Duck. To each their own but I find it unattractive.
