I'm on the waitlist for the Scrap Room's doubleshot kit, I also added the embellishment kit. Good price for me and I chose a smaller kit I don't need a lot of product coming in so this was perfect for me. I also subscribed to Paper Whimsies monthly kit, a lot of printables for $5.00 a month. Now I have a little bit of stuff coming in every month, I wont feel the need to shop as much and hoping to do a lot of mixing and matching with my stash.

Last year I canceled all SC kits except for Documenter. I will keep the Documenter Kit because of the gold reward discounts, and in the end they told me I will continue to pay the 'old' price, so the dreaded price increase did not happen. The thing is that I love SC stamps and dies, so I have a hard time letting go completely. They are still my favorite designs, even if SC managed to ruin a lot of trust in 2015.
I was toying with the thought of canceling Ali's Story Stamp but I actually like the prompts and that format of personal storytelling, and the upcoming themes seem interesting. So I'll keep that, too.
A couple of months ago, I discovered Cocoa Daisy's planner pages and planner kits and now I'm in love. So, I'll probably keep that, as well.
Those three subs are plenty for me (too much, if I would be totally honest, because I have so much already), my scrap area is almost exploding with pretty goodies. I've begun to reorganize...

I cancelled my Cocoa Daisy kit. As much as I enjoyed it the kits were just piling up and going unused. 2016 is my year to stop wasteful spending so I cancelled CD and Popsugar monthly subscriptions. I feel pretty good about it too actually. I have a full scrap space filled with great products.

I belong to Citrus Twist and Hip Kit. I also bought a Scraptastic kit this month and I'm getting next month's too.
I love Hip Kit- Their stuff matches so well- I always want to dive right in because I can think of so many combinations of paper and products I can use. I do wish they included card stock. It comes in a nice plastic bag but I wish it came in a pizza box, too.
Citrus Twist is fun because they include a really interesting mix of embellishments. I like the random doily, tissue paper, piece of fabric, etc. that they include with them- it makes me stretch my creativity. I also like the white and cream cardstock included. It is always packages so nicely and wrapped with a piece of baker's twine, which is a great extra supply. The last two kits have confused me, though. The products don't seem to go together. The product is great, but I have a hard time seeing the last two months as being "kits".
I just got my first Scraptastic yesterday. My impression so far has been really good. The pieces go together really well and I like the fun mix of embellishments- the acrylic pieces look really fun to use. I ordered another kit from them today and if I like it too, I will probably subscribe. I'm worried that I won't remember to pick which kit, however. I wish it were packaged better, too.

I canceled SC early last year and just canceled Citrus Twist. SC was because of them being them, I have no tolerance for cliques, bad customer service or drama. I just cancelled CT even though I like them, I just haven't had time to use them yet. I need to cancel Stamps of Life, the stamp and die club. Another one I like, just not enough time ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/mYSUyHtG9Jrcmm_ydVcK.jpg)

I just got the Citrus Twist kit for this month and I don't get it, either. The colors matched a bit better than the last two times but a lot of the stuff has "cutesy" words and phrases that I'll never use. It also didn't have the extra stuff I usually like with their kits- tissue paper, fabric, doilies, manila tags, etc. that I've enjoyed in the past.
When my 6 months are up I'm going to drop them and pick up a different club instead. I'm not into Felicity Jane because of all of the exclusive papers- I like a mix of different manufacturers. Off to check out a couple other clubs....

After being sub-free for 3 years (cancelled SC in Oct 2012), I began subbing to Hip Kit this past November, and am really liking their kits and the fact that I don't have to race for add-ons -- and the customer service is excellent. This is the only sub I plan to have for this year.

I think maybe a lot of focus is now going on designing the exclusive papers - not so much attention to other details? Anyway, I enjoyed my 4 months subbing but was ready for something else.

well girls, i just sent my 'cancel' request for the ae story kit. i feel sad about it but i really think i want to take a break from subbing for a while. i feel kind of at a loss though i don't think it will really hit me until january when there is no happy mail on its way to me. as it stands now, i will still receive the december story kit and the december planner society kit but after that, nothing! it will be a good thing, i think, to catch up on some of the supplies i already have. kellyv i'm curious how you're feeling about this now?? maybe pretty liberated? hopefully not too let down? i went sub free in early 2015 and i have LOVED it. i can still buy single kits; it feels freeing not to have a sub to pay for every month! there's a lot of freedom in it ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . i am keeping a close eye on Felicity Jane and still love Ali E - but i've had no problems getting single items when i want.

maryboys so far so good. one thing i have found is that i have more time to work on projects as opposed to organizing! everything is put away now and nothing new is coming so i won't have to sort through it all. i think i am going to be okay with it but i will let you know ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

I resubscribed to Scraptastic a few months ago since Victoria Calvin and Adele Toomey were on the new design team. I was happy with my Nov and Dec kits. I ordered only the main kit in Dec and Jan. My Jan "just a girl" kit arrived yesterday and I have to say I am very disappointed in the kit. The colors are pretty but the embellishments are very light this month. You shouldn't have to buy the add on to get a decent amount of embellishments. Now this thread had me thinking about switching to Hip Kit.
Did anyone else get the kit and have the same disappointment?

I did receive an email from Kelly Purkey this morning and she will be doing monthly kits which I'm excited about. I enjoy her stamps and products since they work much better with my lifestyle (30's, no kids, travel a lot, eat even more...) than most other brands/companies that tend to be more family focused. I signed up for 3 months of Kelly Purkey to try it out. I use her stamps a lot. I really like this first kit. Nice strong colors - navy, red, green. No pink, gold and mint/aqua that everyone else is doing over and over.

I ordered the same kit I will let you know what I think when it arrives.

I loved the few months I got a hip kit I just cannot keep paying sales tax on it, between sales tax and shipping it was just cost prohibitive. I was really sad to cancel because I really really really like the kits and their design team.

If all kits charged sales tax it wouldn't matter but when there are other kits that were the same price and did not charge sales tax and I qualified for free shipping it made a big difference. I was charge sales tax because I live in the same state she does I don't think everyone is I tried having it shipped to a different address without sales tax (where I work), but since my billing address is the same state as hers it did not work.

I've been a member of Club Scrap since 2000, mostly on, a few times off and currently on. I will continue my Club Scrap membership. They were the first kit club and are still going strong. I think they offer a lot of value for their kits and they even offer cutting instructions with each kit if you wish to use them. I love the quality of the paper and the designs for the most part. If there is a kit I really hate, I just skip that month. It's the only kit I follow. There are a lot of add'ons that are available and I love their rubber stamps.

I finally decided to sub to Felicity Jane. (As you already know Kellyv ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) ) I bought January's Paper Add-On when it first came out and it was delivered today. OH MY WORD. It is more beautiful in person! Now I'm even more excited to get the entire kit every month. I don't know why I torture myself by trying to be frugal and sensible. I don't know any reasonable person who does that with their hobby. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

I am 6 months into a SC documenter kit and I think I like it! It's just my style and I like the website, it's easy to get inspiration, but I hear a lot of grumbling about it and I don't want to have a bad experience! I am also 2 months into Citrus Twist. I liked their stuff, I feel like you get a lot for the money but once it's in my hands it feels really washed out. There's nothing graphic or bold in it. I looked at Hip Kit's January project life and (please don't hate me!) I cannot STAND that Heidi Swapp gold/pink/mason jar thing. Just BLECH! But their December kit looked awesome! Sooooo, I don't know... Anyone have awesome experience with Citrus Twist? Will it get better? I also have a hard time finding youtube process videos for them, it's basically just dearlydee (whose work I love!)...

I liked her first kit as well, it was really refreshing to receive a kit that didn't have a bunch of pastels or childish designs. The red, blue, and olive actually worked really well for my first couple of layouts this year.

I just got the last two months of Hip Kit. I really like both of those kits. The papers go together. My only problem is the white/cream thing- I have to divide the paper up mentally into two kits- I just cannot mix white and cream papers.
Overall I'm happy with the contents. The only thing I'd change about those kits is that I'd add cardstock and some smaller 3-D embellishments like enamel/acrylic shapes. The one kit was very Valentine's Day and I have no significant other, so I can't use some of the phrases but there were enough things that I could work into other types of layouts.
Hip Kits doesn't have all of the doo-dads that Citrus Twist does- but I'm not scratching my head about how the hell those papers are supposed to go together.
I'm having a hard time finding a club to replace Citrus Twist, though. I scrap boys mostly and a lot of these kit clubs are too pink and flowery. I have no problem using a pink or floral paper on a boy page but I need a mix of other colors/patterns, too.

I quit my SC documenter kit of like forever literally trying to hold strong but so far they are making it super easy because the response time for convos is so slow, still have AE but I am going to scale that back to the digital when the extra time is up - and I have felicity Jane which I am keeping- like someone else said I love the quality of the paper, the fact that the shipping, is fairly quick and that I can mix and match between kits. I wanted to try elles studio but their shipping is more than the cost of the kit for me…. so that won't be happening. I did try freckled fawn, took too long to get here and it is not really my style i like to have papers or cards as well.

I cancelled my SC subs in December and, while I miss getting the mail each month and the fun shopping, I'm happy also to not have those strings! I can use what I want and go through my stash and budget. It's freeing and way more creative juices flowing without a "kit".

I hadn't subscribed to a monthly kit for years, but I added Cocoa Daisy last September. At first, I did their planner kit, but for January, I switched over to the Daisydori kit. I love it and will keep it this year! I'd like to add another monthly kit but am torn about which I'd choose. There are things I like about several of them. Maybe I'd be better off just ordering $35 worth of product online each month from a variety of shops...

I subbed to SC's Project Life kit when it began and stuck with it until this year's fiasco, when I swapped to Citrus Twist. I've been really happy with my subscription, though international postage (and occasional customs duty) is a real deal breaker. So when I just got an email with notice of increased shipping rates effective immediately (which will, I understand, apply to all USPS services) I'm sad to say, it's the end of my US kit subscription days. When the postage charge is more than the cost of the item being shipped, then really, common sense must prevail.
If anyone can suggest a great UK/European kit subscription service, I'd be delighted to have the details, please!

That's it! I am cancelling Scraptastic. My December order was missing some very tiny elements and I said nothing about it. My kit that I received this month was very light on embellishments. I really think you should get a full pack of embellishments not a portion. We received our First Look email for the upcoming kits and I loved the Sunday Morning kit that is one of the two options this month. It's based on the Crate Paper Hello Love collection and had some of those embellishments that I haven't been able to order. I already have the paper. So, I hung in there to get my hands on those embellishments.
So....... My account was billed this morning for the monthly fees. Later today we received an email update saying the kits had been updated due to availability of items. My heart sank. I knew it, I knew it was the kit I wanted. Sure enough, one of the Hello Love sticker sheets was taken out of the kit and replaced with something I do not want. Grrrrr!! I responded with a cancel my subscription email and hope it is in time.
Would that irritate any of you?
I am off to check out Hip Kit......

I was a member before the new website, and it was a headache trying to order kits each month. That being said, I never had any actual issues with missing products. If it happened once, ok. Things happen. But if it repeatedly continued to happen? Yeah that would wear me out.
