**UPDATE** Thank you all again for your wonderful kind words and prayers....My appointment went better than expected. I was diagnosed with Vulvar Dysplasia. I am being referred to a gynecologic oncologist. I am positive that this will be ok. I may need a surgery to make sure they have gotten all the bad tissue, but hoping for the best. Again, I say...thank you to each and every one of you that had a kind thought or prayer, whether you thought it or posted it...I love you all! Uggh......I went to the gyno last week. Got the call today that my pap was normal! Yippee..... However, I had a small skin thing(wart) removed and the pathology is back and I need to go to see him. I just started a new job Monday so.... I asked the nurse some questions and she basically asked that I know my work schedule before I go see him tomorrow, so I can make any necessary appointments with the "specialist". You know where my mind is and really what other dr. could it be besides an oncologist? Not like an orthopedic doctor could do anything down there... If you have any experience, I would appreciate some insight and if you can spare a prayer, please do. Hopefully Melissa is around...I didn't know what to search as her name...is it the same?

Don't google or look at WebMD. It will just scare the shit out of you for nothing. They may want to refer you to a dermatologist. ((Hugs))

My step daughter had a wart type growth. Treatment involved freezing the tissue. It was not too painful and solved the problem completely but she needed to see a specialist for the procedure. Don't fret too much. I'm sure it will be something similar.

It's still probably nothing. I had one come back neither positive or negative. They had to send it to another lab for further diagnosis. It ended up being nothing. Don't worry yourself about the unknown.

Stuff like that is always scary. But it's the unknown part that scares us. There's so much this could be --- and much of that is just annoying follow up to get it all taken care of. So I'm going to be positive that you'll just need to miss a little work and get this handled. And it will soon just be a blip of history! Sending all the best wishes your way!

It could be nothing more than seeing another doctor in the practice. Last year I had a hysterectomy, but before that I saw my regular gyn until she said she wanted me to see someone with more expertise in that particular area. It also could be for something like an ultrasound. Sending healing prayers for you.

Yeah, the waiting is the worst, but try not to panic before they give you something real to panic over. I'm betting big on the dermatologist. Good luck and keep us posted.
