My husband has worn a Hawaiian shirt for the last 3 years on Christmas day. He has 10 so I have no hope of him running out. We always take family pictures every year, but this year was our first Christmas without our Mum, so I thought I'd change our tradition a little to be a little distracting. I bought Christmas tree , reindeer, elf headbands and of course some Santa hats.
We had lots of fun swapping props for different group photos. This one was my favourite. And a picture of my "Winter Wonderland" Christmas dress. My daughter said it was horrendous, but I loved it and might even wear it every Christmas from now on . Corinne
That dress is fabulous! And with those shoes! Thank you! It is hard to see in the photo but the shoes have a very subtle glitter in the material AND they are Homy Peds wedges so they are the most comfortable shoes ever!

where did you get that dress? Love it! Thank you, you have all validated my decision to buy it. It's from Modcloth, where I buy all my dresses.

My husband has worn a Hawaiian shirt for the last 3 years on Christmas day. He has 10 so I have no hope of him running out. Your DH and my DSO would get on VERY well Corinne! Many many years ago my aunty inadvertently started a ridiculous Christmas tradition with me and my cousin. Every year she'd buy us a nice pair of knickers, and somewhere along the way we started putting the undies on our head for our Annual Christmas Undie Photo. It has grown over the years to include all the females. Here are some photos from the last 3 years: This year my aunty decided that it was too expensive to buy undies for everyone, plus if they were too big people were offended, and if they were too small they were useless. My cousin and I were a bit disappointed at the premature ending of this decades long tradition, so my other aunty brought out a pair of knickers for each of us to wear for the photo. Now this aunty, who is a widow, is in her 80s and quite um, wholesome and virtuous, so there is NO WAY she has ever worn the sexy lacy knickers that she lent us. I have no idea where and why she even got them. They had to have been a gag gift that have sat in her drawer.

I didn't even think twice when I wrote that! Homy Peds are a brand of shoes mainly sold in chemists and used to be targeted towards old grannies needing supportive footwear. Very comfortable but a little bit daggy in the style department. It's a running joke in our family with my daughter leaving their catalogue out for me because I complain about having trouble buying comfortable shoes. I had bought a beautiful pale blue summer dress and needed some shoes to go with them. When I saw these through the window I immediately had to try them on. And now I can wear them with my Christmas dress.

When DD was two, we asked her what reindeers eat (thinking she will say carrots) but she said ‘cabbage’. So every year, we would leave out with Santa’s snack, a snack for the reindeers. In 2008, she decided to make signs so each one knows where their pile is in case they are not good sharers lol. BTW, love ‘Donna’. What a cute story. "Donna"-- haha!

I am loving all these pics. The reindeer cabbage signs made me laugh. Youngest granddaughter came to visit tonight, I've been wanting to do this shot. My dog saddled right in there, he steals the show a lot.
