One of my resolutions the last couple of years is to try one new recipe every week. I usually start off really well but then start to taper out after a couple of months. OK, a couple of weeks!
Would anyone be interested in doing a challenge where we have to try one new recipe each week (or each month if you don't think you'd be able to commit each week)? I have so many cook books and DSO is trying to get me to get rid of them because he thinks I never use them. He's 99% correct! I think if we had a challenge going, where we shared our new recipes each week, I might just be able to stick to it.
Is anyone in?

Great idea, I would be keen. I get into a rut too and would love to add some dishes to my list.

I am interested, but can't guarantee I will keep up. I just got an electric pressure cooker for Christmas and would love some recipes for that.

I'll be in. I bought Charmaine Solomons Asian cookbook - it was my mum's cooking bible and I also have a nice collection of Jamie Oliver Cookbooks that I have barely ever used!
Oh and of course a nice selection of recipes on a Pinterest board.

I will participate! My older DS has been a vegetarian for close to a year, and I've been committed to trying out new meatless recipes so that I have good stuff to serve when he comes home from college. If I might make a suggestion, how about two new recipes a month? For me, that's a little more doable than once a week, but a bit more of a challenge than one new recipe a month. We could keep tabs on progress by the month -- I assume you'd be starting a thread where we can share our experiences.

I'm in! I've gotten in a rut and need help getting out. My cookbook collection is lovely and interesting- but I'm failing at using them!

I'd like to give it a try. I need some healthier options, but it's tough with a picky husband who will only eat 5 vegetables.

I'm definitely up for that Of course, dd's are super picky so I usually have to leave them to fend for themselves on the nights that I try new things (They are 12 and 16 so it's no big deal)

I am interested, but can't guarantee I will keep up. I just got an electric pressure cooker for Christmas and would love some recipes for that. We bought one this fall and made the plan that we would use it once a week and for the most part we have. I really like it. I have not used my crock pot once since we got it. I'd be up for this challenge.

I would like to try. I really don't like to cook and as a result, I end up making the same 5 or 6 meals every week.

I would be in - but realistically I think 2x a month would be best for me.

I hate to cook and I have gotten into a rut. I could be persuaded to get involved twice a month to change things up a bit for my family. At the very least, I could stalk your threads and see what everyone else is making and enjoying and try some new recipes.

I'd be game. I have loads of cookbooks, but with a dd at college and dh who travels for work frequently, I have little motivation to actually get creative in the kitchen. You'd think the opposite would be true; that it'd be the perfect time to try new recipes, but once evening comes, I just stick to the tried and true or eat leftovers.

Sounds great. I have to admit that I try 2-5 new recipes a week using Pinterest Not so much in the summer but Sept-June. I'd love to see what everyone is making.

I would love to join! My DH has been the cook for years, and he is taking a new job in January that will require me to prepare dinner most night (he will commute now). I don't mind cooking really, my biggest problem was always coming up with ideas and aides to go along with it - so this is great timing for me! Thanks!! ?

I'd like to join! DS1 is home now and he loves home-cooked meals. Plus he takes the leftovers to work for lunch so there's no waste.

Sounds fun. I would definitely join in when I can. I certainly feel like I am in a funk sometimes. I would love more ideas for quick meals, crock pot meals, healthier meals, etc.
If you do a weekly thread than people can share when it works for them, or just stalk the thread for ideas.
