I can't help it--I must point it out. People used to razz the 2peas gallery about the collective use and overuse of flowers. But have you been to scrapbook.com in the past two days?
If you don't like flowery layouts...steer clear because the flowery cup overfloweth over yonder.
If you do...it's definitely your day!

Not nearly as bad as I anticipated based on your post. I actually saw some really good stuff that had been posted in the last day (without flowers).

Prima style is alive and well! I like to use flowers in my layouts, but it's mostly out of habit. I liked the shabby-chic, jillions of flowers look the first few times I saw it. After trying it, it's way too much work for me.

I'll have to look. I have way too many flowers and haven't used any in ages! Maybe I'll find inspiration

The gallery is different because people are not afraid to share their work and don't feel they need to be trendy, they just do what they love, and they enjoy to share with others. Love scrapbook.com gallery, isn't it awesome? All these people sharing the hobby they love? About flowers, I love them but I have a hard time to use them because of my three boys. I love that lastly, they are so many different ways to embellish a layout other than only flowers, but flowers are still really pretty and I'm happy when I use them, especially the homemade ones!

I'm not a flower person myself, but mostly it's because I have no idea what to do with them. I'm always impressed by people who uses them on layouts or any other crafty project that looks amazing!

Not a flower person at all and rarely use them, but I don't begrudge those that know how to use them and they look nice.

I use them when they fit the style I am looking for on the card or LO. However most of my pages recently have been for my boys and I really can't bring myself to put flowers on their pages! .

Didn't see very many flowery ones, but found an awesome doodlebug layout.

What I really love about the gallery there is the rollover links to the product used on a project. Of course, not every project has the links but it's really nice when they do.

I love that it doesn't look like a DT gallery there. I love that it's just people loving this hobby and sharing.

It is different from 2 Peas, but in a good sort of way. There are a lot of layouts from every kind of style imaginable. Some of them are not my style, others are. I was really surprised when one of my layouts that I uploaded was picked for the daily newsletter yesterday. (Other than my 2Peas gallery, I had only uploaded 2 layouts). Of the 2 I uploaded, it wasn't my most favorite or the trendiest of the 2 but I liked it. It didn't have flowers on it, but I did do a paper pieced double decker bus thingy with my silhouette. That wont be happening again for a long time to come. Too much work.

I like that there is a variety of pages too. BUT one time (many years ago) I posted a layout there. I was critiqued that I should have used a different color of card stock for the background. In all my years at 2 peas, I never had unwanted critiques/criticism. It was weird and I deleted the page. I've developed more of a thick skin since then, but don't care about showing my work anymore.
