unfortunately while he had plenty of reasons to hate people, he didnt know a stranger and loved car rides.. things which made it easy for someone to steal him .sigh. to this day I miss my Bruno he was my heart dog. Someone stole him?? Oh man this just made me cry! That last pic of Rocky in your car...look at those sad eyes~~So glad he found his forever home

Don't look back, only look forward. You can't change the past, but you can give him the best life ever! That is all he wants. Rocky is adorable!

you can try a vitamin E Stick to help with the scars (I get mine at walmart)
Just put it some on a few times a day. It should take a couple of months to fade some.

I really like boxers. I just love their personalities. Blanket statement true but I do just love them. If I got a boxer I would call him Wlad (Vlad) as in Hayden Panantiere's boyfriend the Ukrainian boxer.
Love Oscar a ton. Kiss him all over and snuggle with him and just pet him all over gently. He will come to trust you and love you for ever and ever. That is what he is programmed to do. I wish you the best with him and know in his eyes he trusts you and needs you to love him and protect him! Even from himself!

Having had several boxers through our life, you certainly had me at 'boxer'. Honestly how could you not take him home? And then I saw the photos - he is gorgeous.
I wish you well with him and hope he brings you much joy.

Oh so cute. Congratulations to your new addition. He will be good for you guys! We adopted our Piper in November, she has brought us so much joy. She was also used (she is 1 1/2 years old and had 2 litters). She is a leaner, too.

First night went fine. He settle into a crate like a pro! When I adopted him yesterday they told me he had a puncture wound on his jaw but it had been healed. Well this morning it broke open. Good thing I'm a nurse :-P. Only one accident in house so far, which was last night and Mostly because I didn't recognize the signs. This morning, after all the drama he put himself in his crate for a nap. I tried to sneak by to my bedroom and came out to find him snuggled on the couch with my favorite blanket. It's awesome :-) the cats are still unhappy but lowering themselves to be in the same room. I feel the daggers they are tossing my way ;-) luckily they will get over it. I'm going to have to buy that one toy in cases. It's definitely his favorite.

What a cutie!
He reminds me of my sister's pup, Mickey. When she rescued him he was a very sickly/ugly puppy. I still remember the first time I saw him, I said "what is that?". He grew up fine and was the sweetest baby. Loved everyone. Got along with my parents Lhasa, who was 15 at the time. We thought she wouldn't tolerate him but they ended up being best buds. When she passed Mickey was so depressed. He was the first dog my DS was exposed to. He called him Mickey Dog. Man, we all miss him.
Best of luck with your new puppy! He's lucky to have you.

Your story made my heart squeeze. and yes to you and the other poster to commented(can you do 2 quotes in one post??) but yes he was stolen, we live on a dairy out in the country and I guess we felt to safe and letting him be outside for potty breaks un-attended. A neighbor farther up the road even saw him in a car, but then told himself "nawww surely its not Gracies, its probably a different boxer"... but we figure it was our guy. turns out they get stolen all the time around here, wish we'd known that then.

He is one handsome dude!!!!! Thank you for adopting him - he will be your life from now on. We've had two goldens that we rescued (one passed away in August of 2014) and the other one is a 12 year old gentleman. Enjoy Rocky and have fun playing tug of war.
