For me it's not just one food, it's many foods. I think pizza is my biggest temptation.

I lose control on several foods too, mostly cakes and cookies, which are kind of the same thing with varying size and moisture content.
Wouldn't you agree?

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to food, and I'm allergic to gluten. That limits me more with packaged foods. It's hard for me to resist homemade goodies. One thing I can't buy, or I'll eat it all, is Kozy Shack tapicoa pudding. Good stuff, and it's gluten free!

Tostitos/Lays regular chips … and skittles. With Skittles, I only know how to eat the whole bag. By the handful. I cannot and have not purchased any in years as a result.

Pop - if there's no diet coke around, chips and other junk food aren't nearly as tempting to me. Kind of weird, I guess, but I don't really want to eat a bowl of chips with a glass of water.

Ice Cream! I LOVE LOVE LOVE ice cream. Not just a scoop or two but three or four or five even. Do not buy it because I will eat it all.

Sweets. All sweets.
And bread. Particularly something with "cheese" in the name....

Crackers. If they are in the house I will smother them in butter 3 inches thick (or cheese) and devour them! Seeing that I can't ban butter from the house, I have to ban crackers.
Then after I have devoured the savory crackers I need something sweet to balance things out, so I'd better ban all things chocolate as well!

Anything sweet and close at hand. Cookies and candy in particular. If desperate, I have been known to resort to the grape jelly jar and a spoon. I can't believe I just admitted that! As I sit with an open can of chocolate frosting for my 'chocolate fix'. Which I don't get very often, but when I do, I want chocolate. Just know, you are not alone.

I will pick salt over sweet any day, and yes, chips are my downfall. We do eat a lot of popcorn in the house, but we use a Stir Crazy to make it, so it's not quite so bad.

Um, yeah, all of the above. Junk food of any sort doesn't come in the door very often. The good thing is it doesn't last long at all!

Kettle chips of most any flavor, but jalapeño and cracked pepper are my absolute faves. First I eat the most crinkled, folded, crispy shaped chips...then I'll just polish off the bag. Unless my DH is there. Of course I'm forced to give him a few!

Anything sweet and close at hand. Cookies and candy in particular. Me too! My guilty admission is that I have eaten cooking chocolate when desperate for a sugar hit

Peanut M & M's. I can kinda sorta but not really control myself. I eat a few too many nightly until they are gone. While they are in the pantry they are all I can think about.

As I was reading through people's posts I kept thinking, "yep....yep...yep...oh crap...I have a problem..."
So, yeah, I have a few. Chips, sugar in any form, carbs...
I have to keep some food around for DH and DD...so I try the best I can every time I make a choice. Some days are better than others.

Chocolate. It's like opening a floodgate - one bite and I just can't get it in my mouth quick enough and I want more. Ugh!

Bread, except for rye bread from this one bakery. I think it must be made with less sugar and/or preservatives.
Purdy`s Chocolate (It`s like the Canadian equivalent of Hershey.... they are a big chocolatier in in Canada).
The 100 calorie snacks. I can`t eat just one baggie.
That`s really about it at this point, because I`m careful what I buy now. I don`t buy a big thing of chocolate anymore; I buy one bar as a treat. Same with chips &/or white cheddar popcorn. WC popcorn could totally be my downfall if I let it, so I only by the small bags.
Ice cream, same thing. I only buy the individual servings, and then, because they`re so expensive, I only buy one, when it`s on sale. I`m talking about the single serving Haagen Daaz.

Chips... If there's guac or dip, even worse... There's never I've cream in the house because it gets eaten right away - that's why ice cream/sorbet/Popsicles/freezies never goes into the cart... I should have the same rule for chips but I keep thinking that one of these days I'll manage to eat just one... (Or at least leave one behind - I'd even be proud about that...lol)

I KNEW I shouldn't have opened this thread! And I've forced myself to just skim through the responses, with my eyelids half-shut. I've noticed that even the IDEA or IMAGE of certain snack foods messes with my mind. Even if I don't crave them at the moment, it seems to set off a craving in my brain, and later, I'll "compensate" by overeating whatever I do have at hand.

Cadbury's chocolate - there is a marvellous creations one out here with jelly beans and popping candy in it. It is my nemesis. I also agree with the skittles suggestion - I can devour them quicker than is normal!
