My school district picks a book each summer for all of the high school students to read. This summer it is This I Believe 2. This book is a collection of essays written by different people about something they really believe in.
In one of the essays the author says "We don't have to be each other's cup of tea, but tolerance lets a variety of kettles peacefully share the stove." I really liked that statement and think that if we all remember this statement and practice it here on this board that we can avoid some of the conflict we have had in the past.
I may have to frame this quote and hang it in my classroom.

I really like that. If only the entire world felt that way, huh?

It's a long quote, but it's the truth! The Peas live by those words (most of the time)!
