I do because I scrap chronologically and my son is almost 15. I'm almost caught up, since I don't take NEARLY as many pics as I did when he was younger. I went the drastic route to ensure I have more photos to scrap and got pregnant again.

I went the drastic route to ensure I have more photos to scrap and got pregnant again. LOL! That's so funny. I don't have kids, and can't for medical reasons. And I don't even know anyone with small people at the moment so I can't borrow children to take photos of. But I am struggling to keep up as it is! There is me, my OH, my sister, family, friends, our pets, places we go, hobbies, holidays...rarely a day goes by without me taking a photo. And sometimes there are those stories that don't come out at the time, but it isn't until maybe you notice you've taken several photos at the same spot, or of similar things, that you realise there is a reason why and so that could be another page. This is my first year doing a PL-style album with full page LOs mixed in, and it is just reminding me constantly how FULL life is. I am sure you can find something to photograph

HAH!! Hubby and I don't have children or furbabies but we do have plenty of nieces/nephews and family get-togethers...and we travel. I try to scrap chronologically but if some other photo/event comes up that strikes my fancy then I will scrapbook that. I have boxes of photos waiting patiently/impatiently to be scrapped!!

Nope, I will never run out of photos, even if I never had another photo printed. This is me exactly! JamH

Nope, I will never run out of photos, even if I never had another photo printed. This is me exactly! JamH I could scrap for the rest of my life if I never took another photo. I did run out of Disney pictures, though and was so sad thinking I'd probably never get back to Disney. But thanks to DD and DSIL, we went again in Jan and I have lots to scrap. Disney scrapping is my very favorite thing to scrap...especially with the grandchildren in the photos.

This is definitely NOT me. I have two boys who are growing up in the digital age and BOXES of my old pictures - not to mention my husband's, my parent's and older pictures than that. I don't think I will ever run out of pictures. I might run out of supplies before pictures..which I am not sure is possible

It's happened a few times already for me, yeah. I only scrap the photos I'm interested in, and that I have a story for, so there's that. The puppy, and his subsequent Service Dog training (think: putting small furry animal through college while you get human-to-dog language lessons), helped a bit since there's photos and lots of journalling to go with that. Husband and I aren't leaving our scrapbooks to anyone, we're not interested in family history, lineage, or having our childhoods scrapbooked so.... Basically it's scrap now, scrap what I like, and move on. Plus, I don't want to scrap *every* photo, that's just boring IMO, so I don't.
This does give me the luxury of going back and re-scrapping things, streamlining a bit, and adding to some layouts that might have had their story skimped on. But yeah, running out of photos is a definite worry around here which is why I've moved into other areas of crafting. Cardmaking, mixed media crafts, and just actual art like drawing and painting.
ETA: I do definitely agree that you don't need kids to scrap. I have fur-kids, and take way too many photos of them, but still. If you're worried about running out of subjects just because the kids aren't in the photos, that's certainly not going to happen. There's tons of stuff to take photos of or just to write about. I've run out because this is my hobby and I don't *want* to scrap every photo. Husband just hit 20,000 photos on his current camera, he has several others, so he takes a LOT of photos, then there's phone photos... you get the idea. I just have no interest in scrapping every single thing that either happens to us or that we have photos of. Same with extended family scrapping. My nieces are great, but I don't live anywhere near them and don't have stories for the photos sent to me. I like seeing them, but I'm not moved to do more than place the photos in a photo album maybe.

I am so far behind and have literally thousands of pictures to scrap. I don't think I'll ever run out. I'm sure of it. This is me!

I take, on average, 1,500 photos a month. And there's only one 17 year old kid at home and I rarely photograph her. I will NEVER run out of photos.

Not anytime soon. I have a LOT to catch up on! My oldest is 14 and my youngest is 10. I started scrapping what I felt like instead of going in order and am finding I'm scrapping more now. My son just graduated from grade 8 and will being going to highschool in the fall. So even though I think I'm about at age 2 for him scrapping in order, I feel like I need to scrap this MOMENT NOW! I have done a few of my daughter also even and I just make sure I put the date on those pages somewhere and stick them in one spot so that I can pull them out and put them in their albums when the time comes

My kids are 17 and 22 also. My son is reluctant to take pictures, but my daughter LOVES selfies. She routinely sends me copies of the photos she takes. I usually save them down to my phone and print them when I need them. DH and I have also been doing a little traveling lately and I am working on the 500 pictures we took from our last trip.
