I am antsy to get going to a weekend crop that starts today! Originally I had planned to take today off, but a work meeting came up for this evening so I'll just go tomorrow like the majority of the group. Bonus is I can take a little comp time and not have to take the whole day off tomorrow.
My 101 free print order from Shutterfly showed up really quickly (when I placed, expected delivery was next week) so I have a ton of pictures ready to work with. I tend to do more socializing, but really want to get a good amount done. I'm low on birthday cards, so I'm also taking some stamping things along so I have something else to do if get burned out on scrapping.
Coolest will be trying out my wireless powerbeats DH and kids got me for my bday. This is a regular group and there is a lot of chatting and movies running all the time. A lot of the time, the movies aren't my thing, so I prefer to watch my iPad in front of me. Now I can do that without the pesky cord in my way or even looking like I'm anti-social for a bit!
Anyone else have scrapping or craft plans for the weekend?

Have Fun! - I get to go to a scrappy retreat 28-31 (I am taking Thursday everyone else will join on Friday).
For this weekend I have to get my monthly Sister/BFF card/project done so I can get them in the mail on Monday. I should have finished them last weekend, but hubby and I got involved in football. We will be that way again this weekend, but I have to get them done so I will have to find time.

Does card making count? I need to really get moving on the Valentine cards that are due before the end of the month. I have 30 completed (5 designs, 6 of each) but would like to be able to send 100. Also need to make a few designs of birthday and thank you cards for Ronald McDonald House mailings.

I am hoping to get some scrap time this evening and then I will have all day Sunday to scrap. Going to finish my Dec Daily and start my OLW journaling prompts.

Not this weekend, but next weekend is the winter scrap retreat I've been looking forward to! If I can carve out some time this Sat and Sun, I'll continue putting together my layout kits in preparation for the big event. Yay!

And going to a crop and having the first day to yourself sounds perfect! I get a little overwhelmed being surrounded all weekend. Especially when it is 4 of us that share a bedroom!

I love mass producing once I get my designs figured out. I've been slacking on card making for about the last year and miss it. Taking some inks and copics with me this weekend though.

It sounds so fun! I was invited through a friend of a friend to a weekend crop but I don't know if this is normal-- you tell me! The person used to own a scrapbook shop but closed the storefront and moved it into her house. So we pay a fixed amount to come and go all weekend and use all of her supplies (excepting adhesives and books). What do you think?

All week I've been planning on have a scrapathon tomorrow. I've been looking forward to it so much. Years ago I used to scrap at least a couple of times a week. I've never gotten back to scrapping that often. Instead I seem to scrap in spurts. Anyway, I cooked and cleaned today so I will be totally free tomorrow. Free! Free, I tell you! Finally some 'me time'. I might even scrap Saturday if I can keep the momentum going. My goal is to scrap nine layouts that I have pictures for and then move on to the dreaded editing of more pictures. The good news is we just got a new computer so that whole process should be a lot faster than it was on our old dinosaur computer. Enjoy your scrapping and crafting time this weekend, ladies. I hope your crops and retreats go well. Don't forget to share any good stories with us. You know the peas love a good crop story.

I'll be headed to the local LSS for our regular all day Friday crop, if I'm feeling OK. Been under the weather with a cold/cough/throat for a bit. I really need to catch up on a year-long album I'm 15 events behind on!

That's how I found this group and a mom's group. I think going to the lady's house who has a crop is a fun idea! I'd totally do it if you felt comfortable doing so. There's a lady here who sells CTMH and she does classes at her house and day crops sometimes. I've never been able to go, but I might try it out sometime.

Yep! I will be dropping DH at the airport in a couple hours and have to work tomorrow. But that leaves me Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and Monday to be crafty.

I was planning to just squeeze in some time in the evenings, but DS (age 5) got invited to go to lunch and a movie with a friend on Saturday, so if that works out then I will try to get in some crafty time while he's gone! (Otherwise, it's a 4-day school weekend for us!)

Yep I'll be scrapping some older photos - part of my goal this year to scrap pics from the time I lived in the UK. Unfortunately no crafty friends nearby, but I'll crank up the music in the craft room and emu myself anyway

Wow lots of crops going on this weekend, y'all have fun! I plan on unmounting my wooden stamps, just got the last item I needed from Amazon. Also starting a new knitting or crochet project. I have tons of really nice yarn I purchased to make Christmas gifts through the years and I never manage to get much completed. I have decided to start VERY early this year Now I just have to decide which project to start.

I hope so! My Elle's Studio order arrived on Wednesday. I started playing with the donut stamp last night. So cute! I really need to find a weekend retreat so that I can get away and get some pages done without any interruptions from my house, husband or kids!!! I hope everyone that gets away this weekend has a great time and gets a lot accomplished!

I'm so jealous!! I haven't scrapped at all since mid-October. And my scrappy table is still covered w/Christmas stuff (it technically is our dining room table, so I don't scrap at all during the holidays).
And I haven't been to a crop in forever. The one Meet-up group I have gone to is over an hour away and I just can't justify it most of the time. The time it takes to pack up, drive there & back and then unpack is almost as long as I'm actually there.
My pal & I usually go to her brother's beach house once every month or so for a scrappy weekend, but he (very nicely) has lent his house to his neighbors for the off season so they can stay there while their house is being brought up to what insurance companies are requiring now after Sandy. This means we have no place to go for a while.
Thank you. I feel better now that I have whined.
So, my plans for this weekend are to reclaim my scrappy space, learn how to use my new Cameo and hopefully get at least one layout done!!!
All you lucky ladies going to crops, have a terrific time! Hope you get lots done!!!

Yes! I haven't done any scrapping since last weekend, so I'm getting anxious to get back to it. I will do some scrapbooking, and I also need to edit some photos so I can get a bunch of new ones printed. I'm ready for an infusion of new pictures--that always inspires me!

I'm on my 3rd layout and going strong. It's just me, Lizzie, Darcy, and my supplies today.

I'm aiming to finish my DD this weekend then time and motivation permitting I want to start playing with some of my other ongoing albums.

I had cataract surgery yesterday, so I have great vision in one eye and not so great in the other. I think I will try scrapping tonight. I'm just getting back into the groove after the holidays.

Now I just need to get my pictures printed so I can finish it up! I actually did unpack it last nite. I was so excited that I jumped right in before checking out any tutorials on YouTube, etc. The manual does not give enough explanation (found that out quickly). Suffice it to say my first cut didn't go so well. The crappy cs I used tore (it got better after I changed the blade pressure) and left residue on the cutting mat. Rather than get frustrated, I called it a day after that, lol. So today's scrappy plans will include hanging out on YouTube and learning all I can before I give it another go.

That sounds about right for a first try. I tore quite a few pieces of paper before I got anything to cut correctly. That can happen when the cutting mat is too new and sticky. It's definitely worth it to watch tutorials and to keep trying with it. I could never go back to scrapping without it. I got about 6 layouts done yesterday. Today I have to get a new computer up and running, which seems to be quite time consuming so I don't know if I'll be able to scrap today. Also, my precious Pride & Prejudice (6 hour Colin Firth version)disks have gotten so old that they're not playing properly anymore.
