Wow... Those are outstanding! You should consider having her do the 2Peas photography course. Even just the first few lessons will get her off the auto settings.

Hijack - Are those classes still available? I wonder how I can do them after today if the whole place goes bye-bye tonight? Wish I could see the pictures, but work blocks them when they are at a photo site.

You may be biased, but not without plenty of reason to be that way. Your daughter does have a very good eye. I enjoyed those pictures. I hope she does want to pursue photography because she's got the gift. You have every right to be proud of her skill! When I got to the last picture, I wanted to see more. If she starts a website to keep her collection of pictures on there, ask her if she will let you share it with us. I'd love to look at more photos through her eye.

Thanks ya'll! Amazing work. Most young people I know only know how to take selfies. Ha! She knows how to do that too! Love the sunset pic! That would look fabulous on a large canvas! The thing that most impresses me about that one is that it is actually a sun*rise* and she voluntarily got up at 5:30 AM while on vacation to take it. She got many, many wonderful photos that morning. Those are great! I especially like the goat devil eye I think that one is my favorite too.

Her dream job is to travel around the world and take pictures for National Geographic. I have NO idea how she would get there from here... I did try to have her start a photography blog but she was frustrated with the layout I think. She mostly posts them on Facebook, Instagram, and deviant art at the moment. If you look at the water drop photo you can see she has created her own watermark!

Those are awesome pictures! And, very impressive that she was willing to get up so early while on vacation. My kids gave me a hard time for waking them up at 8AM while we were on vacation.

She has a good eye. Research every avenue you can. I would guess a lot of the photographers with pics in Nat Geo have blogs or websites, check them out. The task of getting her to her goal seems daunting. Start with baby steps. Get her in a class at the local college or with a local studio that would let her intern on weekends. She needs to learn it from the ground up if possible. Having talent will get her far, but having the knowledge of how to use that talent will take her to the next step.
