This is Hal. He's was rescued and brought to our shelter on Halloween. He was frightened of everyone. He now crawls into my lap - and hangs out over the edge. He is the sweetest, and largest, cat ever! Is Hal a rag doll? We just adopted one in November and he's very loving and very playful. He's a Maine Coon as far as we know. We were not going to adopt him. I had my heart set on a big black cat (Clive) who loves to sit in laps and I was needing a lap cat. But Hal was very attached to Clive and they didn't think he'd do well without him. He was afraid of his own shadow and was stuck to Clive's side. They didn't even come in together, Clive just kind of took Hal under his wing. So we brought both home. They are very playful together.

I have no idea how to make it smaller. I use pic resizeEasy and free. I always choose "make 75% smaller."

Love the pet pictures. Now that my pets are gone, I don't have any new ones to share. However, organizing makes me almost as happy as my dogs did, and my closet where I store my vacuum and cleaning stuff got whipped into shape yesterday. Truth - my life is just that exciting. I didn't know both of your dogs were gone - I'm so sorry. They were the first thing I remember of you as a poster. I must have missed that. Has it been long? Do you think you'll ever want more?

We lost the Lincoln, our black lab, almost 3 years ago. And Jackson (the chocolate) almost exactly a year ago. I miss them like crazy and talk about them often, but I don't know if I want to be tied down with pets at this stage in my life. We go out a lot and want to travel more so I think I'll live vicariously through others. I may, at some point, foster or even work with being a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind (DD was involved with that). I loved having pets growing up and when my DD was at home, but I'm also kind of enjoying the selfishness of not having anything living and breathing depending on me every single minute of the day. I have enough trouble keeping DH alive and well fed.

My grandson, he is 2 months old. This is my favorite picture of him. My daughter and son in law had him all bundled up for a walk on Sunday.

I have enough trouble keeping DH alive and well fed. I completely understand that feeling. I have fed animals, immediately upon waking, every day of the last 27 years. I would love to think of something else first thing every morning of my life. Fostering or working with guide dogs would be so great!

Makes sense, we had a Maine coon and now have a rag doll that is even longer than the Maine coon! He has the same gave as Hal but with blue eyes

Cute kitty! Here's a crochet project I just finished. Took me two and a half weeks, and the better part of eight skeins of yarn. This is amazing. I love dragons and had a classroom filled with them. I don't crochet, but this looks like he took a lot of time and effort to complete.

Here is a picture of my Tortie cat, Speckles. She passed away a few months ago and I miss her everyday. She was the coolest cat ever. She knew more people in the neighborhood than I did. She would sit out in the front yard and wait for the neighbors to walk by. Socializing with people (and certain dogs) was her favorite activity. When we would go on family walks, she would join us, walking around the entire neighborhood. (about 3/4 of a mile). I still have two other cats, but Speckles was one of a kind... What a beauty. It does sound like she was a special cat. Sorry you are missing her so much.

Mine is my profile picture. It is of me and my brother, who came home for a visit from Florida over New Years. He's in the Navy and I hadn't seen him in almost six years, as he lives in Florida. It was SO good to finally get to hug him again and we got to hang out and laugh and laugh.

Yep, she's in HS now (older, but not much bigger, she's 5'1" but thinks she's 6' on the field) and my older one is in college.

Great pictures everyone! I love these threads. Here is my youngest grandson on his first birthday this past Sunday. He got his first haircut in the morning (sorry for the poor quality pic...the lighting was crazy in the shop), and had his party in the afternoon.
