So I've seen a few sneaks for SC and CT PL kits for February and... pink everywhere! "Pink for Valentine's Day? Groundbreaking..." (Get it? From The Devil Wears Prada?!) Anyways, I hate pink (I just did a spread in it because that's what I had to use up and I do not like it!) And also the pink/gold combination is so BLECH to me! Like literal vomit.
I don't mean to be a hater here, we all have things we don't like, but it is just crapping on my excitement to get my February kits! Can anyone relate?

I mostly like pink, but I dislike pink/gold. And pink/turquoise. Pink for me is tricky - the right shade next to white or yellow or navy looks great, but the wrong shade next to another color looks terrible. I have the same thing with purple. Either love it or hate it,depending on the shade and what it's next to.

I must admit, seeing your name as ellewood and hearing you don't like pink cracks me up!
While I don't exactly hate it, having sons makes it a color I don't use often, so I can safely say I don't care for it. I don't even bother looking at scrappy stuff in February because it's all flowery & pink. Useless to me.

I don't hate pink, but I am sick of it being in every kit, collection, etc.
I sort my PL by color and BY FAR pink is the color I have the most of. Ugh.

definitely not a fan of pink. the thing is, I sell my stuff online and most of my customers love pink so I have to work with it. the pinks I do choose are more rose, mauve, burgundy, and red as opposed to bubblegum pink, bright pink, pastel pink, foo foo pink or purple.

The felicity jane kit has a color strip at the bottom of the sneak with pink and gold and it makes me nauseous to look at it. And I love FJ kits.

I hated pink since my girlie mother tried to dress me in it daily. I turned out to be much more of a tomboy who would happily avoid the color at all costs. I have two boys. Their books are bright and bold. I am now a little more open to the color now and when the girlfriend dresses in shimmering pink for Homecoming, I can adapt. The layout I created for the dance is one of my favorites. Thankfully she loves blue and is not a huge fan of pink either.

I like pink but I scrapbook boys. I'm good at using pink on their pages in a way that doesn't look girly, but I'm getting bored with every collection having pink. I always have to work around it.
I have noticed a lot of darker blues in new collections, though, so I'm pretty psyched about that. Really, any color that isn't pink or turquoise. It is just getting boring.
I love Maggie Holmes (and most Crate Paper) stuff but it is relentlessly girly. I wish she had one collection that wasn't so pink.

Funny aside: I was having a convo with my fiance (I REALLY don't like that word!) about my online alias and he's like "who's elle wood?" I was like "LEGALLY BLOND? You haven't seen it?! Let me go get it!" And he's like "NO! I've seen it! I remember now! Please don't make me watch it!"

I can practically quote it verbatim. However, like you, I couldn't pay the men in my life (husband & teenage sons) to watch it. Congrats on you upcoming wedding!

I don't *hate* pink, but it is not my go to color. I do buy some pink things, but it is usually because the other colors are meh! I do like pinks that border on being purple. I never did like the pepto-bismol pink that a lot of scrapping tools came in

Nope, I love it. It's my favorite color in fact, and it's my DD's favorite too so we use a lot of pink around here. Ha ha, my mom must have liked the color too because when my brother bought her old house, he mentioned to me that EVERY single room had something pink in it!

Another mother of boys here I agree that Maggie,Amy and even shimelle need to cut back on the pink already Probably not much hope since pink is one of the Pantone colours for 2016

I LOVE pink. It's my favorite color. My coat, gloves, purses, iPhone case, Tervis, everything is PINK!!! I can never get enough, and I use it in most of my creations also. The more pink the better for me!! Edited to say as I looked at my avatar--yep, I only wear pink lipstick too. LOL!

I don't dislike it but I don't have a lot of use for it either - I scrap two girls and neither likes pink (or purple)

ETA - unless DH wanted to buy me a pink diamond in a gold setting!

Echo Park does a good job of making collections with little to no pink. If there is a girl line, there is a boy line to match. Other companies must make money on the pink or they wouldn't produce so much of it. I have skipped lines before because they had pink on a page or two.

I actually love pink but weirdly it's not something I scrapbook with or want to see in every new collection either.

I like pink but I have boys. I do use some pink on their layouts but it'd be nice to have not so much pink. Some neutral or masculine lines would be nice.

*raises hand* Yes, I've almost eliminated all pink from my stash...I keep some for girl/baby cards. But I have a nephew and never really been in pink/purple myself. I've seriously considered limiting the colors in the entire stash just to simplify, but haven't done it yet.

I am not a fan of pink, or any pastel, really, unless it ks mixed with bolder colors. I can do hot pink, if mixed.

I love pink but I don't scrap with it as much as the scrapbook companies would like me to. I also don't decorate my home with it or buy a lot of pink clothes. I have girls so I do use it more often than scrappers who have boys but it doesn't always work with things we do as a family like hiking or camping. I used it more often when my girls were little. Now if you want to talk gold? Gold is like literal vomit to me. I really, really hate it. I'll just keep using my stash and ride out the gold phase.

YES!!! I'm so, so, so sick of the "pink in every collection" trend. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
To be fair, it's not that I actually hate the color. I wear it, I buy some in small amounts. But I'm another boy mom! And I'm just soooo tired of it being in so many of the most popular lines. Lines I would love to use if they left out the pink.
When is this trend going to end?
This is one of the reasons I don't subscribe to a traditional kit club. It's more likely a kit will be pink-based than not.

I like pink ok but I'm more of a blue/green person so I'm seldom wearing or photographed in pink and my husband certainly isn't. He has a grandson who loves to play basketball - another non-pink type of layout if there ever was one. Therefore, I don't need it much for my scrapbook pages. And you are right, there is plenty of it in the collections and has been for years. I really think scrapbook paper colors should be a broader range and offer colors of more things we have in our photos like sky blue rather than aqua blue. Colors that match denim are good but hard to find. We used to do a lot of hiking and nature colors are often in short supply, too.
I just don't think scrapbook papers need to be the 'in' color so much as what will enhance photos and for me those are colors that coordinate with the photos which usually means the clothes I'm wearing.
