What's everyone doing? Since I'm trying my best to be healthy, I am going to be very good this week, so I can splurge on game day. GO PANTHERS!!! I have been seeing very bad things on FB- like Cheeseburger Sliders and Cheesy Pizza Sticks, and Cannoli Dip- oh my...

Every year, it's Soup-er Bowl Sunday. Each sibling and my mom make a crockpot full of soup. Appetizers are the usual chips, dips, etc... ETA: Go Broncos! (Even though I think they'll lose). I'm a realistic football viewer.

We are having our 4th Annual Super Bowl Chili fest! I make chili + fixin's. My husband loves to make different gFootball shaped stuff. Each year we learn a bit more and add or subtract items! Can't wait for this year! And I've got to say, "Go Peyton, Go Broncos!" there are my dad's favorite team and I'd like to see Peyton win!

I think it will be just dh and me. Husband has absolutely no control over nibbles. None whatsoever. Do I might just do veggies and dips.

I live in Bronco country & we love Orange Crush pop mixed with *whatever* . Our first Super Bowl, one of our friends worked for Hostess & they made orange & blue snowballs - a big hit with all the kids. I'm thinking of bringing hot wings & nachos to my party & perhaps creamcicle drinks. GO BRONCOS!!!

My husband is in New Zealand for work for 2 weeks, so no Super Bowl party this year. He usually makes paella, then we have appetizers.
We used to have a big Super Bowl party, but many of our friends live farther away, and once all the kids started school, the families would always have to leave at half-time to get the kids to bed. I wish the Super Bowl was on a Saturday. Most of my friends are in the same position, can't stay at a party because they have kids to get to bed because it's a school night.
Go Panthers! My family is from NC, so I always pull for NC teams. But I also love to see a team that has never won a Super Bowl win!

We aren't doing anything spectacular food wise, but I just wanted to way-in as I am a huge football fan. I think the Panthers will win, and I am rooting for them to do so. But, if the Broncos win (and Peyton can go out on top) my feelings won't be hurt!
On a side note, I know Kawann Short. He is an amazing athlete, but even better young man. I hope he continues to be blessed on and off the field.

I am a huge CAM fan! And if my KC Chiefs can't be in it.. then I hope the Panthers beat the pants of the Broncos!!!
So it is a NC super bowl for us... Pulled Pork sandwiches or pulled pork nachos.

I will be luxuriously soaking in our hot tub and not watching the super bowl. Husband will probably be working in the garage not watching the super bowl, he might have it on the radio but he might just listen to pandora. as far as snacks go we will probably have the usually healthy stuff we have every day. We don't make a big deal about super bowl. I like to watch the half time show and he likes to wait until almost to the end and start fast forwarding through the whole game and stop it at the plays he wants to watch. other than that we don't sit and watch the whole game. We used to when we were young and partied. But everybody we know is young and party and we just don't get into that any more. But If I had to pick a team I would say go Panthers. because I always go for the Patriots so I have to keep it in the "P" family.

I'm going to make cheeseburger dip to serve with toasted baguettes, garlic parmesan chicken wings, deviled eggs, mozzarella sticks, monster cookies, chips, dips, salsa, crudite, sodas, maybe some jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon. I haven't picked a team yet, my team didn't make it!

We've decided not to have anything healthy or remotely healthy. It's not often that Peyton gets to Super Bowl 50! We're having buffalo ranch chicken dip, wings and pepperoni bread. And I'm not ashamed! lol Go Broncos!

We always go to our friends' house and we always bring a pot of chili and made from scratch cornbread.
I'm a huge fan of college football, but I hardly follow the NFL. I really don't care who wins, but it's always a fun day.

I'm trying to be healthy too, so I can have snacky stuff on Sunday. We're having some family over on Saturday, so we'll have cheese / sausage / crackers, chips and salsa, that sort of thing-- Sunday will be leftovers from that, probably. (I'll buy veggies and have FF dip, too, but... I'm not expecting a lot of that to get eaten, lol!)

Well I am trying to think of what to do.. but we are going to my BIL house, which will be great, but his wife is from Czech republic and she tends to go overboard with her Czech food, which some I like but most I don't.. She doesn't 'get' football food. She didn't want me to bring anything, but I finally talked her into chips/dip. I think I might bring a few other things as well.. lol.. I might do the ham and cheese sliders and the buffalo chicken cream dip

We are going to stay home this year, and I am eating very carefully all week and then not worrying about what I eat on Super Bowl Sunday. So far, our ideas are: Chicken Wings with 2 different buffalo sauces - Mild and Spicy Garlic Queso and Chips and salsa (Queso is taco meat, Rotel, and Velveeta) Possibly "Little Pizzas" - Sausage and ground beef with Velveeta on cocktail Rye bread. Possible Funeral Sandwiches One other thing I can't remember at the moment. And I will have to throw in some kind of veggie tray

Add some black beans and DH will be right over! I saw a variation of funeral sandwiches on FB. Instead of ham the used a ground beef mixture, and cheddar cheese. I was thinking about doing those with Charlston Cheese dip. But that's a lot of goo. I could use something lighter too!

Our Superbowl traditional food is pie. Because when we were dating, DH wanted me to watch the game with him, so he bribed me by saying afterward, we would go out and have a piece of pie. Now we don't live somewhere where it is convenient to go out for pie after the game, so I make sure to have a pie on hand. Maybe I will get ambitious and make one?

We usually do tailgate food - lamb pops, sausages, souvlaki - with a vegetable platter and chips.
I don't think the game will ever change from Sunday. Too many events and activities happen beforehand and too much money to be made. It the game was on Saturday, the party would be over and everyone heading home on Sunday.
For the first time in years I don't care who wins, I just hope it is a good close game. I hate a Super Bowl blow-out.

I'm hosting a party for mostly work friends. I'm having Carolina BBQ plus something for Denver--maybe beef BBQ that we could call "Bronco BBQ" LOL. One friend suggested Denver omelette a, and I do have space to make them, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the time and mess. I prefer food that can sit nice and warm and ready to eat while I socialize and watch the game. Of course we will have lots of other snacky food, but since we are starting a little early, I want something a little more substantial like the BBQ.

I just don't do well at long gatherings any more. My back hurts too much and I never can find a comfy chair to sit in at someone elses house. and We don't like having lots of people here.
We might do pizza and chicken that day just because.

You have to think like this...if the Broncos beat the Patriots, then they better be the BEST and go on to win the whole dang thing! That's how I always look at it! If you are going to beat "us" then you better win it all, dang it!

I'm so looking forward to Superbowl food and DH, who is not a planner, refuses to start discussing the menu until tomorrow. Arg! I'm a planner. But I've started planning in my head already - I want turkey enchilada casserole for sure and maybe wings. After that, I will let him pick the dip and whatever else we are having. I may need to start pinteresting for drink recipes.

We always have a party, and always have cold cuts and rolls for sandwiches; I make a side salad and a big crockpot full of soup; and everyone else brings dips and stuff.
Somebody mentioned Saturday - I ALWAYS wish it could be Superbowl Saturday, because it kills me when the last guest leaves around 11:00 and I still have to clean up and go to work the next day. If it can't be Saturday I wish it could at least start at noon or 3:00 or something.

I haven't really planned food yet because I am not sure what we are doing. So far it sounds like we are just staying home and not having anyone over, but that da change quickly. I don't want to spend a lot of time and money planning and then have everything fall though like it did on New Year's Eve.

We are just having our neighbors over, so I'm not making a ton of food, just a few appetizers. I'll be making oven ham and cheese (aka funeral sandwiches), bbq wings, crab dip, baked Brie and a few frozen apps for the kids. My neighbor is bringing soup kind of soup and chips/dip. And, beer, lots and lots of beer! The kids are off school and DH doesn't have to work the next day. I don't really follow either team, but I love Peyton Manning, so GO BRONCOS!
