Anyone going to CKC Houston next weekend? Taking classes? Shopping for anything special?

I've never been. Do you have to sign up ahead of time? Is it worth going?

I will be going on Saturday and taking classes then. I have always enjoyed going. I do feel it is worth it. Lots of fun, shopping. You should sign up ahead of time for classes, but can wait and get tickets there.

I went yesterday afternoon to check out the shopping for a couple hours between 3-5 pm, and then came back for the crop at 7. I didn't take any classes, because the ones scheduled during the window of time I'd have been able to take them didn't really interest me.
I had fun. I found more at the vendor hall than I expected to find, so I brought home a nice bag of goodies. It wasn't crazy crowded, but a steady flow of people in the aisles and at all the booths. I did a make and take, but the rest of the make and take tables were always in use whenever I passed by them. I thought there was a pretty diverse selection of merchandise, a little bit of all kinds of things. I'm not a trendy scrapper so I wasn't paying attention to names or brands or even styles all that much. I did hear during the crop that some people had expected more from the vendor hall. I got two hours of browsing out of it, so that was plenty to make me happy.
The crop was surprisingly crowded. One of the ladies at my table said it was a sell-out because one of her friends wasn't able to get in. There were some vendors who came in and set up during the crop and did quick sales. One had grab bags and mystery boxes. There were a lot of discount grab bags for sale at the event, and they were popular. Page kits too. I saw a lot of people working on page kits.
I got some giveaways and a couple doorprizes. I was happy with everything I got, none of it was what I would consider junk. I got my money's worth out of the event and had a lot of fun. Hopefully they'll be back next year because I'd for sure go again.

Spent all day at CKC today and had a great time. Will give a better update in the AM. Just finished dinner and some family time and will be heading to bed shortly.

I attended Friday and Saturday. The classes were great and were full. They gave great door prizes and discount coupons for the booths. They gave lots of product and extra to create more after the class. The vendor faire was really busy during the early bird hour on Friday. Lots of people flowing in and out. I thought it was better than last year. Lots of products and big selection. Had a great time! So glad I saved my money for the show! Brought home lots of goodies!

The vendor faire was much larger this year. I was surprised. I went on Friday and spent way too much. If I lived closer I would have gone back on Saturday.
