Just curious to see exactly how organized we all are. I don't consider myself super organized, but I do have systems that work for me. As an example, I have my supplies mostly sorted and stored by category so I can find everything easily. All my inks are in a drawer together, but they are just tossed in together. They are not sorted by color and I don't have an inventory of every ink I own. Same with stamps; all in a drawer together and I just dig through to find what I want. Maybe it works for me because I don't have a ton of stamps.
Anyway, where do you feel you fall on the organization wagon? No judgement in either direction. I'm just curious.

Sounds like I am similar to you. I also have stamps together, paper lines sorted and group together, etc I have tried several ways in past and yet to find a system I love.

Very. I love to organize and I am very left brained. Last night I put 20 Iris clear containers into a larger container so that I could have all of my leftover embellishments have their own space. So once I use an embellishment (partially) it comes off my six foot six spinner Clip It Up and into these 5 x 7 containers by color. Almost everything is color organized and catalogued. I occasionally scrap too. Ha!
ETA: I have hundreds of wooden stamps that are in clear flat zippered pouches. I don't have enough room to put them on my walls.

I am not organized at all. Quite the opposite, actually.

My stuff that's organized is really well organized and it tends to stay that way. Things that become disorganized tend to stay that way for a very long time, so I try not to let it get there. Right now my scrap stuff has a place for everything and not much is out of place. But my studio has a closet that is a hot mess. It's the full spectrum with me, always a battle.

My husband loves to organize. He helped me plan which IKEA units would fit in my space. Thanks to him, I have an ink drawer, a stamp drawer, etc. Thanks to me, I have piles all over the floor and a tote that still isn't unpacked from my last crop.

I'm sort of in the middle with a definite lean to the more organised side. Some of my supplies are super well organised, others less so. Stamps and embossing powders are just in one drawer together but I don't have a ton of either so I sort of remember what I own. Stamps are also in just one drawer, all thrown in together. Again I mostly know what I have so am happy to just rifle through to find what I want.
Patterned paper has no organisation but surprisingly this is what works best for me. I've tried sorting by style or colour and couldn't find anything. I only have about 3 or 4 inches so it's easy to go through everything for each project.
Stickers / die cuts / other small embellishments are where I struggle the most. They are sort of organised into three small containers for things with words, things without words, and larger items (like PL style cards or frames).
That said I can find just about anything in my stash without too much hunting.

I am pretty organized - everything has a space and I don't keep crap for years on end. If I wont use it I have no problem getting rid of it.
That being said, I am a very messy scrapper. I like to make piles on the floor when I am in the middle of a project. I definitely don't clean it up as I go!

I'm a lot like you, OP.
Like items with like, but not categorized and inventoried down to the shade of color.
I like to dig through my stuff.

I'm mostly organized and really like everything in its space - my biggest challenge now it knowing what I have such as stamps, dies, embossing folders - the rest is much better contained.

Very organized. Everything has a box or space. Usually everything fits perfectly in its space, there is no room for anything else in it. That's what helps me not to go crazy with buying things. It also makes it very easy to find what I'm looking for.

I'm very organized. I have my embellishments sorted by color, each color has a drawer and each drawer has all of the items in the same place. So if I want a yellow button it will be in the same location as the green buttons or the blue buttons. Scary, yes?
Paper has a spot, alphas, scraps, kits, a place for everything and everything in it's place. I put everything away after every page. Messes make me crazy. Or crazier than I already am, perhaps?
I must note that I have a scrap room, so there is lots of storage space.

I'm extremely organized. I have Iris boxes for every imaginable theme. I have leftover embellishments sorted in clear boxes by color. I have a vintage metal cabinet with 27 letter size drawers that hold twine, small alpha, flair, buttons, punches...every drawer is labeled.
I am just hard-wired this way.

I'm organized in a way that works for me. I try to keep themes together. So my Halloween embellishments have stickers, brads, stamps together. If it's more generic, I have a basket of embellishments sorted by color in bags. I have a manageable amount of manual dies. I can usually find what I want quickly. It's the cricut cartridges that I can never remember all the images!
I've actually found with my recent organizing, I need more paper!

Well, not so much. What's really funny is that in the past, I have had really great organizational tendencies and still do in some areas of my life but for some reason when it comes to my crafting stuff? It's a train wreck.

It's a train wreck. Too funny but then again, not funny because that is my reality also. I am about 5% organized in that I have theme bins for some stuff. But beyond that I couldn't find something I know I have even if I was given a week to do so with a major prize at the end. I have fallen off the organizing wagon, been run over by it, and then it backed up and ran over me again just for good measure. Then passed me by with nary a look back.

I have an organizational system, and lots of space to put things away.
That being said, I would way rather play with my stuff than organize it. So until I have driven myself crazy looking for something lost in the piles of things around the room, I seldom put anything back where it belongs. I tend to scrap a lot of similarly themed photos all at once, so it makes sense to leave the paper packs and embellishments, etc, within grabbing reach. I usually plan to clean up the room when done with that theme, but it doesn't always happen.

I have fallen off the organizing wagon, been run over by it, and then it backed up and ran over me again just for good measure. Then passed me by with nary a look back. Ha ha! Once I had a scrapping weekend here with some friends and I was going to work on some layouts for a change (vs. organizing more junk). I had a group of photos printed out and ready to go, a layout idea in mind and embellishments picked out. I went to the bin where I thought the pink bandana paper should be (DD's bin) and went through every stinking piece of paper in there. 4" of paper. No pink bandana paper, no bandana paper at all. Really? What the heck? I KNEW I bought some for those photos specifically, plus some red and blue for something else, and it was driving me NUTS! I ended up spending three hours digging through boxes of stuff and I never did find it. By the time I gave up, I had completely lost my mojo. At least there's a somewhat happy ending, because a few months later when I was going through a box of totally unrelated stuff (maybe purchases from a retreat or something?), there it was! I immediately put it into my DD box, and the next time I had a chance to scrap, I worked on that page first. I still had to go to Hobby Lobby that weekend for some burlap flowers, but at least I finished the stupid page!

That said I can find just about anything in my stash without too much hunting. This is pretty much me. Things that are organized tend to stay that way. Things that aren't are a thorn in my side. Usually, this is because I haven't stumbled across an organizational system that works for that particular item. I can't scrap if my area is a mess, so while my space looks like the aftermath of a tsunami while I'm doing a layout, it all must be put away before I start the next one.

I am organized enough for me. Maybe not as organized as some lol. I managed, with help from a very organized-minded friend, to go through my entire scrap space: purge, sort and store. Now I have a good idea where everything is and I try to return items to their home after I use them. This works in theory, not so often in practice. Since I'm a messy scrapper, stuff tends to pile up helter-skelter for days on end until I finish the page(s) I'm working on. It's only then do I put things away in their place (hate this part) so I can start fresh for my next layout(s). Sometimes objects stay lost around my project desk. Then the hunt is on! I am my own worst enemy!

I'm pretty organized. In fact, I organize more than I scrap. I need to learn to let go a little. I have taken several tests at work that show I am equally left/right brained. I think scrapbooking fulfills both sides of my brain. The left to organize and the right to make layouts. It is a perfect hobby.

I'm pretty organized. with as much stash as I have, I have to be. I'm one of those "everything in it's place and all things similar grouped together". patterned papers are filed away by manufacturer and solids are done by color. there are drawers and baskets for everything and just about everything is labeled if not clearly displayed. I simply have too much stuff not be organized at all times. it's the trade off for having a big stash.

The more organized I am the more stuff fits into my scrap space. I keep three ringed binders of examples of my stuff so I know where to find it.
