I have some old, cheap kraft cardstock and would really like to get some that's higher quality. I have no idea how to choose one. I would prefer not to order, since shipping on paper is high, but I could if it's absolutely necessary. I have Michael's, Joanns, and Hobby Lobby available. Recommend away!

Good luck on this one. Lots of crafters on You Tube use the Neena (spelling?) desert storm, which is a nice, light craft. The stuff I got at Michael's was lighter weight and somewhat darker.

I just went with the bazzil kraft. Exactly as it's called! My Michaels has bazzil still but I know not all do.

If you are looking for 8.5x11, then I really like Papertrey Ink's. It's the first kraft cardstock I ever used that didn't remind me of a grocery bag. Doesn't come in 12x12, though.

The only one I use is Bazzill Kraft--perfect color and weight. I have tried Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Joann's,American Crafts, and others, but my favorite is still Bazzill.
Fortunately, the one lone LSS in my area sells it in a pack of 25 sheets, as well as individually, but if I had to order, I would.

A few minutes ago I finished a layout using Recollection Kraft CS from M's and I am happy with it. It is a darker brown, just like a brown paper bag (if you are old enough to remember those...lol).

I settled on HL kraft because it is paper bag colored. It's a little light weight which I like because I layer.

I mostly use the HL kraft, it's inexpensive and a good weight. I also use Bazzill some, I just don't think it's worth the difference in price.

Thanks! I think I'll order a few, and get some locally, and then decide.

I use the HL kraft too. I like the paper bag color & you can't beat the price when they have paper 50% off.

My favorite is Stampin' Up! crumb cake (used to be called kraft) its a great weight, the color isn't too brown/yellow and it goes with everything!

I prefer the color, weight, & appearance of Bazzill Kraft, but also use the darker The Paper Studio/Hobby Lobby kraft cardstock. HTH & you find the perfect one for you!

I buy the bazzill but only as it is the most readily available cardstock choice in kraft. I actually have a really hard time getting a hold of Kraft anything in person so the last time I bought online I got 20 sheets of it, I would love to try some of the other brands as I am not 100% happy with the colour of Bazzill (I have had better in the past)but shipping paper to Australia is a really expensive option. My LSS just got in packs of the coredinations Kraft so I might give that a go next time.

I like the kraft from Createforless.com. It's called "recycled kraft" and is made by Paper Accents it's 9.00 for 25 sheets. They also have another one that is called Grocer's kraft which looks darker, I haven't tried that one since I like the lighter colored one just fine.

Kraft comes in so many shades and variations, it is hard to choose. I prefer it to look more to the brown tones, others like more of the gray tones. I use SU cupcake, some I got at J's, and some from The Paper Company. I like to have choices as I usually use some PP with the kraft CS and the colors in the paper help me decide which I want to use.

I keep a stock of the Bazzill Kraft and also both the light and dark AC Kraft. I recently stumbled upon an oatmeal looking paper that I wish I knew who made it.

I use a lot of kraft paper, so I buy all different shades and weights from all the stores.

Well, believe it or not, I got a bunch of 12 x 12 kraft from Oriental Trading. I needed 12 x 12, I needed a lot and didn't want to drive 80 miles ONE WAY to get it at Hobby Lobby or the scrapbooking store. I bought a few of the clear stamps and the rest in the kraft. It is a basic color so I shouldn't have a problem using it! And at least I won't run out in the near future.

I use either the HL brand for darker kraft and Bazzill for lighter kraft.
Depends what look I'm going for as to which I use for the layout.

I just use the stuff that Michaels sells for my kraft. I seem to use that a lot for my card bases so it's much cheaper to pick that up with a coupon or when it's on sale versus using my SU for bases

Thanks! I ordered some SU crumb cake off ebay. I found AC and Bazzill Kraft at ACOT, so I'm going to order that as well. I'll stop by M, HL, and J and pick up some there. I figured it would be best to get a sampling and decide that way. Thanks for all the ideas!
