7-29-14: I think the interview went great! They told me that I am the first interview out of 3 days of interviews, but I am still staying optimistic. The pay is good and the benefits are great. They sent me home with a big packet about the benefits packages which I keep telling myself they wouldn't bother if I wasn't a strong candidate. Also, they have already sent me an email explaining the 401K benefits too. I went in with a positive attitude that this job was tailor-made for me. It sounds like a rewarding job and just what I have been looking for. They said that I should hear something in 7-14 days so I will be on pins and needles until then. I have an interview tomorrow with a staffing agency just in case this falls through, but I believe this is my job to have
Thanks again for all of the positive thoughts and prayers. I said a little prayer on my way home after the interview.

I have been out of work since February. Because of severe arthritis pain, I am unable to do something that requires standing a lot or a lot of physical activity. I have 10+ years of clerical experience and recently updated some of my computer skills while being laid off. I have only had 2 interviews or call backs out of hundreds of applications. I have an interview scheduled for Tuesday for a clerical position in a nonprofit foster care agency. I do not know what the salary will be but I have come to the conclusion that I will be taking a severe paycut from what I was making previously and am prepared to deal with that.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I need this job desperately and I need all the positive vibes that I can get.
On a side note, the more research I do about this job, the more excited I get. I want a job where I feel like I have helped someone which hopefully placing children with derserving families will be rewarding. And when I was researching the locations of their offices, I noticed they are in Oklahoma, which is where I am at, but they are also in Nebraska, specifically Kearney, which is where my daughter lives with my only grandbaby, so maybe they could send me to that office if they ever need some temp help and I could see my babies.
Anyway, thanks for reading
Trish
