Ok did I miss a part, why is Doug so infatuated with the widow that he gave $ too? I don't see how that fits in. I love that Remy and Jackie finally stood up to Frank, but I am sure he will wessel his way out. Her husband was supposed to get the Liver that FU got. Doug forced the UNOS lady to move Frank up on the list. Oh that makes sense now. Kinda creepy he is falling in love with her now.

Ok why would Frank keep that photo of his dad? So did that press secretary set up Frank with that civil war reenactment photo and blame Meecham? Claire is a real pain in Frank's sidein this season lol. Both questions I have....anyone?>? Claire set it up with LeeAnn (her campaign manager). She was pissed at him for spoiling her chances trying to win Cicely Tyson's house seat, and that was her way to get back at him. Seth (is that his name) was just grasping at straws when he was suggesting Meecham. Frank explained later on that his dad met with the KKK guy because he was the bank president and he needed to borrow money to save his farm. The picture was taken purely by accident, but Frank was proud, because it showed his dad would go to any lengths to save his farm and his family.

He went to the kkk meeting to get $5000 to save his family's farm. It was Seth the press secretary who released the photo of Frank with the civil war reenactment actor.

I think this season was possibly the best yet -- maybe tied with Season 1. I love that the focus was back on relationships, and that Frank and Claire were back working together where they're best. Their marriage is the biggest draw for me, the most interesting.

I am glad that Claire and Frank are back working together. They are much better and stronger together.
I laughed at that health ambassador sending Doug a photo of the guy who got bumped from the donor list he wouldn't feel the least bit guilty.

We'll be watching Ep 10 tonight, and both DH and I are really liking this season so far. We've been trying not to binge watch, but I have a feeling we'll be done in the next day or so.

I have been trying to drag out the episodes too but it is just too good to not binge watch. I am episode 8. To me the show is the best when Claire and Frank work together in their evil ways to conquer their enemies. I think this has been one of the best seasons. I love that they brought back some characters like Russo, Zoey, Garrett and Tusk.

I liked this season. Major cliffhanger at the end. I won't spoil it for everyone. Definitely up there with the first season.

LOL@ Freddy telling Frank off.
I loved the scene with Claire, Tom and Frank at the kitchen table. They have the weirdest marriage.

Just finished the last episode and have to agree it was one of the best seasons!
When Claire and Frank are working on their plans together they are a formidable team and to me that is when the show works the best!

I love all the little references to season 1 like the excercise machine that was in their townhome basement and the toy soldiers that are now in the residence. We haven't seen them in a long time. I'm sure there are others but those two stood out. This was one of my favorite seasons.

Seeing some of the characters come back was so great too!

It's actually a pretty good looking machine I thought this this season was great, after a bit of a slow start. The Underwoods are a formidable pair. And so evil!

I agree that this was one of the best seasons yet. And I also agree that they have a very weird marriage. The threesome at the kitchen table was hilarious! How awkward that must have been for Tom, yet it was expected, I guess, because there were plates and coffee cups for three on the table when Claire and Tom walked in. Lol I hate having to wait so long between seasons

We finally finished season 4 last night. We didn't get to start it until this week. But then of course we had to watch several episodes a night to get through it. Ok did I miss a part, why is Doug so infatuated with the widow that he gave $ too? I don't see how that fits in. Doug is one of the most disturbing characters. There's a very dark side to that guy. Their marriage is the biggest draw for me, the most interesting. My husband and I completely agree. We love the way they scheme together.

ROFL over the THREE of them sharing ONE APPLE...!!!! WTH ??!!! OMG, that poor, sweet widow, letting Doug come over, cooking for him.....scarrrrryyyyy!!!!!! Can someone please tell DH and I WHY Freddy told Frank off? We can't remember anything negative between them---all we remember is Frank helping him---A LOT---! But that season where they focused a lot on Freddy's family life is kinda blurred--- so we probably forgot....**OR** was Freddy mad because of Frank asking him to make them ribs As if he still saw him as a servant? We're stumped !!! Does Cicely Tyson NOT age at all WOW! I saw her on a talk show the other day and she looked even BETTER than she did on this show! I want her skin !!! I was only half-watching the talk show, but I think she said she would NOT have been on a show like this in the past, and it took a lot of convincing to get her to accept. She's suchhhh a great actress! I have loved her since I was in Elementary school and they showed us the movie "The Story of Miss Jane Pittman" every year I also think Ellyn (sp?) Burstyn is SO pretty, and I always have. She has that kind of bone structure and gorgeous EYES that I would love to have!!! (p.s....the ONLY time I didn't think she was pretty was as the Mom in "The Exorcist"....LOL.....where they obviously didn't WANT her to look pretty---she was....ummmmm....a little stressed out dealing with her daughter......

The breakfast table scene was one of my favorite scenes and summed up Frank and Claire lol. I think Freddy was pissed because all thru HOC he has been a sounding board for Frank but when Freddy wanted to share his good news Frank was more interested in getting some ribs. I think that made Freddy realize there was a huge division between the 2 of them although I think he always knew it but I think he hoped that his accomplishments meant more to Frank then what they really did.

But that season where they focused a lot on Freddy's family life is kinda blurred--- so we probably forgot....**OR** was Freddy mad because of Frank asking him to make them ribs As if he still saw him as a servant? We're stumped !!! In the moment, I think Freddy was ticked because President Frank invited him to dinner at the private residence as a farewell and celebration, but then explained that Freddy would be cooking. Obtuse Frank didn't understand the insult, which further enraged Freddy. Background: In a past season, based on the popularity his rib joint was getting because of VP Frank's patronage, Freddy had a deal to create a chain of restaurants. To damage Frank, Remy leaked to the press that Freddy was an ex-con. Frank distanced himself from Freddy and the investor canceled the deal. Freddy's son threatened a mob of news photographers with a gun and was arrested for a parole violation. Freddy had to sell his restaurant to pay the bail. So yeah, there was simmering resentment, but the "dinner invitation" put Freddy over the edge. That's what you get when you regularly open your restaurant up early in the morning at a moment's notice just for Frank Underwood...who was sometimes with his "pal," Remy.

Doesn't Claire ever wear jeans and flip flops. She cooks breakfast in 3 inch heels, sits at her mom's death bed dressed to the hilt. I know it's part of her image to show her always so straight laced and perfect but holy heck, her feet must hurt at the end of the day. I'm like kick off those heels, MY feet hurt just watching you. Loved the season. Had to go back a lot and look up characters though. Wiki has a great resource page for every character and who they are. Wiki link
