The hubs and I went and saw The Accountant tonight and we both give it it it was over 2 hours and the time just flew by! I was was just thinking about that movie with Eddie Murphy, I think it's called Mr Church, has anyone seen it? Has it come to theaters yet? I don't think it's out yet, it does look pretty good! I'm looking forward to seeing The Accountant.

Just got home from seeing the Accountant. For those not familiar, here is a synopsis: Ben Affleck plays a math savante with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department's Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King, starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise. We enjoyed the movie which had several twists. It did help to answer a few questions by using google to read a full synopsis!

DH and I haven't had any open time for movies lately, BUT lastnight I watched Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on DVD and quite enjoyed it. I am a big Tina Fey fan to begin with, but she really did a good job and the entire cast was great.

Saw Jack Reacher, Never Go Back. We enjoyed it. Unlike many people, we have no preconceived idea of what Jack looks like and like Tom Cruise okay as an actor. I'm impressed that he does most of his own stunts. It was an entertaining 2 hours.

We saw the Accountant and really liked it! So much better than we expected. I wasn't a fan of Affleck before that but now he's kind of likable.
We also saw Jack Reacher and liked it too. I didn't like the female actress when she was on HIMYM but liked her in this. Tom Cruise is still great in action films.
This weekend we are seeing Inferno.

We saw Inferno today with Tom Hanks. DH read the book a long time ago so he didn't remember much but we both enjoyed the movie including a few huge twists that we didn't see coming.

DH and I also loved the Accountant and we're looking forward to Inferno. At least I am - I liked that book the best of all the Dan Brown novels and DH is taking my word for it, LOL. I got a DVD from Netflix last weekend that i don't even remember ordering. it was called "American Ultra" with Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. It was kind of along the same lines as Jason Bourne with stoners. We both liked it.

I wish I had a movie review! I took my daughter to see Ms. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to a matinee. We were the only ones and nothing happened for about 25 minutes! I found an employee and they gave us 2 free movie tickets plus an additional 2. Apparently the projector was "broke". I think by the time they figured out they messed up, starting it 1 hour later would mess up the evening shows. I think I got the extra 2 because I was so frustrated! I just kept stammering, well I, well I... trying to think in my head when I could make this work again because we live 40 minutes away. I wasn't mean. Anyone have this happen to them? I did see Mascots on Netflix (made for Netflix) and found it funny enough. It was silly, stupid fun.

The manager came in and said there was a problem and if we would all move to the screen in the next theater, we would get free passes to a movie in the future. DH and I were happy to oblige.

I saw it Saturday night. They changed a pretty significant part involving the plague but otherwise very true to the book. Love the Langdon series. New book out in it next year!

We saw Arrival with Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner. It is definitely a movie that makes you think ~ everything you think you know at the beginning you will be questioning during the movie. Wasn't our favorite movie but we enjoyed it.

Dh and I just got back from seeing Arrival. He was kinda 'meh' about it; before the movie even started he called it sci-fi action adventure without the action or adventure. I enjoyed the film and thought it had a unique approach to first contact. I didn't like the vague reference to "We'll need your help in 3000 years".

Yeah, my first thought was that the aliens were being optimistic that we'd be around to help!

Saw Arrival last night - I loved it, DH was a bit more meh (probably didn't help that he went to sleep for a few bits!). It was definitely a film that turned your assumptions about things you saw on their head as it progressed, even though there were lots of clues. I thought it was very subtle and interesting.

DS & I have seen a two movies at the theater since October. Jack Reacher, Never Go Back which we enjoyed. I really loved the first movie. I haven't read the book One Shot but want to now. Yesterday we went to see Dr. Strange. As Marvel movie fans who haven't read the comic books, this is another great movie. Benedict Cumberbatch never disappoints. (I wish he would then maybe he'd have time to do more Sherlock's for the BBC - lol).

I saw The Edge of Seventeen today. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!
It is today's version of The Breakfast Club and it is so great! I am 48 years and went with my friend of the same age and we both fell in love with this movie.
It is laugh out loud funny (thank you Woody Harrelson) and heartbreaking. If you were ever a teenager...you will relate to this movie. You will fall head over heels in with Erwin Kim as the awkward teenage boy.
Seriously...go see this movie!

DH sometimes will go to movies of that genre if I think he'll like it. He loved Juno.

I would not classify it as a chick flick. My husband would have seen it if he were in town and I did see several other men there today as well.

I also think it is important to remember that although this movie tells the story of a teenager...it is by no means a teenage movie. This is not Paper Towns or The Fault in Our Stars.
My son works at the theater so he gets to see a bunch of movies. He has seen Hacksaw Ridge, Dr Strange, Fantastic Beasts in their entirety and at least half of the other movies out right now and he thinks that The Edge of Seventeen is the best movie at the theater right now.

We finally saw Dr strange. It was good but i can't believe Benedict cumberbatch's beautiful sounding British voice got turned into an American accent.
We we also saw Fantadtic Beasts. Also liked it and am curious about the next once.
My my most anticipated movie is Passengers with Chris Pratt
