I always did backyard, local parks, local pool, pizza and a movie (matinee) or sleepovers. Fun parties with low cost. At least 3 parties they all brought game systems, we had a bunch of TVs and they played video games. Good times.

$250 or more, but I get a little out of control with parties.

I would really try to keep it under $100. Every other year they would have a party somewhere else (rollerskating, bowling, jumpy place) and then one at home. So averaged together it was about $100 per party.
