I couldn't decide what to make, and then my daughter mentioned that some friends of hers were talking about 'pretzel jello', and how she thought it sounded interesting. So, I'm making this recipe that has a pretzel crust, a cream cheese/cool whip filling, and strawberry jello with fresh strawberries sliced into it. Some might consider it a salad, but for us, it'll be dessert.
I do love the idea of something lemony, though.

Mini carrot bundt cakes and my 5 yo's request lavender earl grey cupcakes that I top with Lavender & chamomile frosting. Your 5 yo has very sophisticated taste! That sounds delicious. My phone has been in a continual buzz for the last hour with the Easter menu group chat. DM always makes a strawberry bunny cake (round cake cut in half). It's soggy and too sweet, but it wouldn't be Easter without it. Last year I made mini lime tarts with graham cracker crust.

I'm taking the easy way out - I'm getting a variety of bundtlets from Nothing Bundt Cakes - carrot, white chocolate raspberry, red velvet, chocolate chocolate chip, lemon, and marble. Everyone will get their favorite and I will have no baking mess!

Doing a coconut cake with fillings that you make ahead & wrap in plastic wrap to soak in the goodness. A friend told me she is making key lime pie with a ginger snap crust - sounds wonderful. Working class dog - I too love Paula Deen's Not your mama's banana pudding. I use pecan sandies for the bottom layer instead of Chessman cookies. I would love a lemon something but DDL hates anything lemon.

I'm bringing desserts to a family bash at my cousin's house. Coconut cake, sugar cookie bars, lemon/berry tartlets, and something chocolate (either congo bars or brownies.) We usually spend Easter at home with a small cheesecake.

We are having chocolate crazy cake with cream cheese frosting. It's my family's favorite and that is what they asked for.

That is the best banana pudding ever!!!
I am making Strawberry Pie, Lemon Meringue pie, and a vanilla cake with three colored (blue, pink, purple) layers with a butter cream icing that I saw on pinterest. I will probably decorate the top with green colored coconut and jelly beans.

I have to bring desserts to our family dinner. I'm thinking a german chocolate cake and one of these three: white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, lemon chiffon cake or coconut cake

Not asked to bring dessert to my sil's Easter dinner (bringing ham), but dd came over earlier this week, so I made our family's traditional Easter dessert. You can find a picture of it and a brief description of how I made it HERESometimes I add lemon pie filling to the pudding & cream cheese in the middle of the cake.

My mother makes a lemon ricotta pie every Easter. I fantasize about that pie all Lent long!

Also, I must really live under a rock -- I do not know what a pavlova dessert is.... I don't know what that is either. I wonder if it's regional?

Strawberry shortcake as requested by my SO but now that it's been mentioned banana cake sounds delish and I have a recipe I've been wanting to try. Although I do have to agree it won't quite be like Easter without a coconut cake

I'm lame. I ordered a butter braid from a friend for her son's baseball team. It's supposed to be delivered either Friday or Saturday. I'm going to bake it Sunday morning. I also got some break and bake cookies. Are you making it for Sunday morning or making it Sunday morning for dinner? They are good, but definitely best when warm.

AKathy's recipe for her easy carrot bars. I usually cut the recipe in half but may make a whole one depending how many are expected. I love this easy recipe and think of and thank AKathy everytime I make it. Oooooo, I do love carrot cake. I might have to switch to this. Thanks for the idea!

Banana pudding, of course. But we'll probably make some kind of trifle also.

For Easter we are obsessed with Entenman's Hot Cross Buns. I have 4 boxes in my freezer.
I like to serve coconut creme pie or coconut cake.

sometimes I do an angel foods cake iced with whipped cream mixed with pistachio pudding. OMG, it's addictive! This sounds pretty good! Details please?

I take one box of pistachio instant pudding and mix it with milk and whipped cream (or a tub of cool whip). That's it! It's ridiculously simple. Chill it for a few hours. I either frost the cake with it or use it as a topping like you would with whipped cream or as a dip for the sliced cake. It's really a fruit dip but somewhere, years ago, I had it on angel food cake and loved it.

It's a meringue base with fruit on top. I think it's popular in Australia. It looks delicious. Maybe I'll try making it one of these days.

Well, DH has decided he wants to smoke a brisket for easter dinner (instead of the rack of lamb I was going to make), so now I have to change all my side dish and dessert plans. I'm thinking maybe banana pudding for dessert.
