SO and I text links to songs to each other every so often during the day when we are apart. There's no way I can be running out of love songs but lately I am drawing a blank. And sometimes it seems like there's a song that I want to send but I can't quite remember the title, etc.
It's my "turn" so to speak . . . last night when I was out with friends he sent "Mad About You" (Belinda Carlisle).
So . . . inspire me . . . do you and your SO have a song? Or, just share a sweet love song.

Our songs aren't love songs - they're mostly rock songs that we'd hear a lot when we were first dating. Probably nothing you'd want to text to your husband
ETA: One of the songs played during our wedding was a love song - "More Than Words" by Extreme. Hope that helps!

Boy, have you come to the right place! My husband and I do the same thing . It's nice to be that crazy about the person you're married to, isn't it? Some of my favorites: "Chances Are" by Bob Seger and Martina McBride "I Just Call You Mine" by Martina McBride "You for Me" by Johnny Gill "When God Made You" by Newsong "The Very Thought of You" by Nat King Cole "For the First Time" by Kenny Loggins "Every Day" by Rascal Flatts "Truly Madly Deeply" by Savage Garden And for fun.... "I Wanna Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler! I don't know if there is a genre you prefer, but we have about 150 songs in our playlist so let me know if you need more

Remember When by Alan Jackson (and I'm not a big country fan, but its a great song and speaks to both of us) I tear up every time I hear it. Also, several Dave Matthews songs are kind of 'our' songs - songs that were parts of different high and low points of our relationship. (Stay or Leave, Crash, The Stone, When the World Ends, Up and Away, Grey Street) We went to a Joe Diffy concert when we were dating with some friends who had extra tickets - again, neither of us are big country fans, but we were up for anything and everything in those days - we fell in love with John Deere Green. He sang it to me forever and kept telling me he was going to paint the billboard nearest my job (he painted billboards back then) in john deere green "Sandy loves Genny". LOL it never happened and nearly 20 years later I still give him a hard time about it. Hmmm our 20 year is coming up next spring -- someone may need to put a bug in his ear that that would be a fabulous 20th anniversary gift!

Sort of...whenever we are at a wedding reception, we always say when they play Proud Mary, it's time to go home. I have no idea how it started.

Our wedding song was "beautiful in my eyes" my Whitney Houston and Jernaine Jackson.
During a rough spot a few yrs. ago dh put the lyrics to "the scientist" by Coldplay into my Christmas card.
Yellow by Coldplay is a great song to text to him!

Kind of obscure, but I love "Calico Skies" by Paul McCartney. And we might as well throw in "Here, There, and Everywhere" by The Beatles.

Our song is "Just You And I" but Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle or "Mornin' Ride" by Lee Greenwood. But our thing is to listen to old country together.

I am not a country music fan by any stretch of the imagination but SO likes it so I heard "The Way you Love Me" by Faith Hill one night when he hadn't turned the station to the right one when I got in the car. As corny as it is, it describe so well how lucky I feel that he is in my life. ETA: I just scrolled up to see what had been posted since I added my two cents and saw goobernuts reply just as Yellow came on the radio - freaky!

Loving these suggestions, thanks so much you guys! SO is not a fan of country, I like it ok . . . but there have been a few songs that I have sent that I would consider country that he has liked. Last week I sent "Your Love Amazes Me" - John Berry - and he appreciated that one. And corny is not a problem, so don't hold back on account of that!
