Got my letter today. Does anyone have a copy of the AMX rewards program? I'm curious to see how they compare.

Does it bother anyone else that Costco/Visa automatically opened a VISA credit account in your name? I have to wonder if authorization to do so was signed at some point in the original application process? And I have to wonder if having a second (or more if you have other CCs) available will affect credit scores and whether the AmEx Costco card closing will also have any affect on credit scores? I guess to me it just seems a little presumptuious (sp?) and I would think they would need your agreement to do so Absolutely does bother me. In browsing the correspondence, I recall it did mention, they will not pull a credit report when sending you the new card. That isn't really my issue, it's me not feeling as though I have a choice who gets my financial data. I signed up for Amex, I resent Citi thinking I want their card.

I feel that way about the MasterCard in Canada. Closed my Amex card, and went to a normal membership card for Costco, and cut my purchases in nearly 1/8 as I only pay cash now.

haha, I don't have a regular membership card so I forgot about them. I'm the same and had actually wondered if I'd need to get in line and get a new membership card. But now I'm assuming they'll transfer my photo and member number directly to the new card. They better transfer my photo and member number directly to the new card. My picture that is on my current card was taken about 12 years ago and I look sooo much younger than I do now. It's one of the few pictures of me that I actually like! I'll stage a one woman revolt if they don't use my old picture I'm kind of surprised they haven't turned me in for identity theft - that's how young I look in that picture.
