I've gotten their free sketches, and I have bought vol. 1 of the one-page sketches. I'd like to get more of their books, but there are so many! I do mainly one-page layouts these days, but occasionally do 2-pagers, so I'm not opposed to either. What's your favorite book by them?

I like the travel one and the Disney one… and books 7 & 8. These are the ones I have, except for the Disney one. LOVE them and use them all the time. I also have Sketch Fusion and One on One, I think that is the name. Each one very good for different reasons. Sketch Fusion is using sketches using a particular line of paper and how to use them to their advantage. You can then think out of the box and use what papers you have. The One on One is working with 1 photo LOs. I have used both to get different looking LOs than what was in the book. I would think you will not go wrong no matter which one you get. And then you will get another one. And another one..... OH and they are available in e-versions!!

I use them all and could not choose just one! I often use the double layout sketches to create a single as well

Great question as I'd like to buy a couple myself. I'm more of a clean and simple 2 pager scrapper. Does anyone have a suggestion which book I should try?

Great question as I'd like to buy a couple myself. I'm more of a clean and simple 2 pager scrapper. Does anyone have a suggestion which book I should try? The first couple are probably the simplest. Almost all of the books involve about 3-5 patterns or colors and the embellishments can be very simple for any of them. They are numbered 1-8 and then there are 5-6 specialty books. Pretty sure I have all of them except the cards book.

I have 1-8 and the travel one. I have taken them apart and put them in a binder filed by the number of pictures on the sketch. I would recommend any of them.
I love the fact that the 2 page sketches can easily be adapted to a 1 page layout if I need...I am usually a 2 page layout scrapper.

Thanks! I think I'll get 7 and 8 and look at Sketch Fusion. Maybe Disney, too. I like the ebooks because of instant gratification.

I like the travel one and book 8. If you have lots of Simple Stories in your stash she has a couple books geard towards their lines and they are good too.

Travel and 8 are also my my favorites. I really like that the 2 page layouts can easily be made into single page layouts if you just look at 1/2 the layout.
I also love the 1 on 1 book which is 1 4x6 photo on 1 page. I scrap 1 photo a lot so this has been a really useful book for new ideas for me.

I have pretty much all their sketch books and my favorites are the Travel one and then the one page sketch books. Sometimes I just find it really hard to make all my photos spread across two pages.
I don't have the Disney one, I think I will need to get it, seeing as I have a ton of Disney pictures to scrap.

The travel book is definitely the most popular. Designed for lots and lots of photos per layout, plus larger areas for journaling!
Should I tell you guys that Allison and I are working on a Christmas sketch book right now? Twenty-four double-page sketches and color layout samples. We should have it ready by early October!

Not really, because Allison covers that topic each month in CREATE magazine -- for free! The months that she does a free two-page layout sketch to download, she shows how to change it to a single-page layout. On alternating months when she does a free one-page layout sketch to download, she shows how to convert to a two-page layout. For both one and two page layouts, she always shows five variations of one form or another. We do, however, have lots of other sketch book topics on the drawing table!

Ill have to get the Christmas one! Christmas is by far the hardest thing for me to scrap. I have years of oictures, loads of supplies and I struggle with the layouts! I have no idea why! This book could be just the jump I need!

See, that's what I get for not looking at the one-page sketches. I don't use them, so I've glossed over them. Thank you so much for the info; now I will pay more attention! I had no idea!!!
