As much as she seems to be a one trick pony with her movies, I think she is hilarious. It was very funny.

As much as she seems to be a one trick pony with her movies, I think she is hilarious. It was very funny. Yeah, I absolutely adored her on Gilmore Girls, but her movies just seem to be the same: loud mouthed (bordering on trashy) woman doing a lot of physical comedy. All the interviews she does portray her as a lovely woman, so I still like her a lot. Her movies? Not so much.

I want to see her movie The Boss. I like her kind of comedy. Then again, I'm easily entertained. I like a lot of Adam Sandler, David Spade, and Kevin James kind of movies. Sometimes I like stupid comedy that you don't have to think about.

I liken it to growing up watching The Three Stooges, Benny Hill, even Charlie Chaplin. So many great memories of watching with my Dad & brother. I did indeed see her lip sync battle, it was hilarious.

I woke up with it in my head yesterday, and can't stop seeing the glitter flying at her.
But good lord I want a new song in my head!

That was hilarious. I want to like her so much, but I've given up on her movies (I really hated Bridesmaids) and I couldn't get into her TV show. Dangit. She seems so fun. I guess I just like a different type of humor.

I'd love to see her in a different movie genre.

Sometimes I like stupid comedy that you don't have to think about. Me too! I laugh every time at Sandler movies. They are so dumb. So dumb that it cracks me up. I'm sucker for stuff I don't have to think about. My brain is too tired to have my entertainment always be deep philosophical or sophisticated all the time.

It was hilarious. I'd love to see her in a different movie genre. I skipped right to her performance, I didn't bother with any of the rest of the battle. She IS hilarious, but I, too, wish she'd do 'real' characters instead of that 'gross-out' humor. Her, at the end, with so much glitter on her safety glasses that she couldn't see?? Priceless!! I wonder if she planned all of that without Jimmy Fallon knowing it would be happening- he looked a bit surprised when the leaves started blowing and the animals got tossed.

Then a few seasons in the show changed and I didn't really care for it or her character any more Jimmy Fallon is so incredibly talented that I started taping The Tonight Show just to watch his different bits. I loved this bit.

I loved it too! I usually laugh a lot at that segment when he does it. My favorites were Ellen, and when Tom Cruise was on. This time, while Melissa was great, I wasn't amused as much by Jimmy. Usually I think he does a great job with lip syncing. I found him just silly this time.

I love Melissa McCarthy and think she is so funny ... her movies are predictable but I go in knowing that This lip sync was freaking awesome ... especially when she caught the stuffed wolf and all of the glitter started blowing

Oh my gosh, the glitter. I was choking just seeing it hitting her face while she was "singing". (I have a quirky hatred of glitter.)

...I've got a brand new pair of roller skates... (gonna be singing that one all day)
(I suppose here is where I can safely admit that my new favorite show is Lip Sync Battle. I am usually one of those weirdos who watches documentaries on Stalin or Mao or the news and a few random shoot 'em up shows so how I ended up watching this I have no clue-but oh gosh, it totally makes me laugh.)

That was funny. I think DMX is mad at you for calling him Drake though Shows how much I know about that music genre! ?. It's just annoying noise to me. I totally get it. I like to listen to DMX when I run ... his threats motivate me to run faster
