Ok, I'm turning 49 in a couple of weeks and it takes a lot to get me excited I managed to score some awesome presale seats to my fav band of all time: Duran Duran The concert isn't until August 30th but that's OK ... I saw them the first time when I was 17 ... crazy I freaking can't wait ... similar to dd#1 last year when we went to see One Direction in Seattle What band makes you go all fangirl?

Enjoy! The only fan girl thing I've ever done is last week when I made ds sneak a picture of me with captain America in the background. My kids are in a competition of who is mom's favorite. He won favorite child of the moment with that move.

That's awesome. What a fun concert to go to. The only thing better than being a fangirl is having a girlfriend who's a fangirl too.My friend and I are like that for Matt Nathanson. We go to concerts that we *think* he might make a guest appearance and we may or may not keep track of his favorite places he goes in SF for future reference. Lol. I guess we lean more toward stalkers than fangirls!

You're going to love them! I saw them a couple times as a teen. My ex husband was/is a huge fan and the year after hurricane Katrina he won tickets to see and meet them at Voodoo fest. We had a blast and they were wonderful... and I'm not even a fan. They really, really appreciate their fans, at least they did then.

They were here in CT last night. I have a few friends that posted pictures of the various times they saw them starting when they were 12...kinda cool. Enjoy the concert.

My DH would be all "fanboy" with you over Duran Duran tickets.
Me, not so much, though I do love "The Reflex." Never saw the appeal of the pretty boys with eyeliner of the '80s. Honestly, I think they scared me.

Lol, can totally relate to your post. Hall & Oates does it for me. Saw them last year with dh. Bought 2 tickets for this summers show and my 16 yo is insisting the the 2nd ticket is hers, lol. We're sitting in the 6th row, I am so excited!

I think it's great that you get to see a band that you love. If I had tickets to Barry Manilow I'd be over the moon.

Our kid/teenage selves would have laughed if they knew we'd still love these bands when we were "old ladies"! That they would even still be touring 30 years in the future! Gosh, my father was so scathing about some of the bands I liked as a girl, so every so often I like to point out how George Michael, Duran Duran, Bon Jovi, Madonna, etc have actually stood the test of time...

You couldn't see a inch of paneling on my bedroom wall for Duran Duran pictures in the 80s

I am the biggest George Michael fan ever. Saw him in 1991 and again in 2008. I wish he would tour North America again! Love me some GM!

George Michael has never come here I would be all over that like a dirty shirt I'm a total 80's band freak if you haven't noticed ... Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, Eurythmics, Wham!, etc. They were totally my life

How fun!
For me and my sister, it's Tears for Fears, we see them whenever they come to town. We went in 2014 when she was really, really pregnant and her feet were swollen. But no matter...it was Tears for Fears! If they're here, we are too!

I just bought tickets to see Duran Duran on August 27!
They are performing as part of Project Pabst along with Ice Cube and others.
