Ok little preface: I have the most amazing vets in the world; Nelson, Lili and Tony. Nelson and Lili are married and Tony is married to Lili´s twin sister, confusing enough? Well a couple of years ago, they both had baby girls within a month of each other and I really wanted to make their baby albums. It´s two years later and I haven´t done a single layout. Granted I´ve had lots of issues with my mom´s health, personal stuff etc. But I´ve got to finish those albums at least before their "Quinceañera"! lol. Now I want to make them similar because well they are related, same age etc. But not exactly the same, I´ve tried looking what pages to do, what to put on it and I get blank. I´ve tried pinterest, galleries, 2peas etc. I honestly need a little hand to slap me and put me to work. I know there are tons of super talented ladies here that can give me some inspiration, kick my butt and put me on the track to make Ximena´s and Adriana´s baby albums. These guys are amazing, totally committed to helping animals, and I really want to give them something they will love!! So please help, where do I start? What do I put? I feel so lost!! TIA!

well, for starters, it is ok, to make them simple. Like a photo mat with a small embellishment/ribbon and to make the pages similar. Here is what i have done for a person at work that pays me to make albums as gifts for baby showers. 8x8 album. I buy a paper stack, so that is coordinating, and then embellies to match...Michaels is a good place to find matchy type stuff. Pages look like this: 8x8 page, with 4 1/2 x6 1/2 contrasting photo mat...put ribbon down either the right/left/bottom/top(depending on where the mat goes) and then place for journaling and opposite of that, place one embellishment. I either stamp the journaling spot or put a 3x5 card there so that the journaling can be added.
Depending on the gender, I can supplement the embellishments with flowers or for boys, gears/t-bears/blocks, or other items that are boyish...
If you want it to be about baby "firsts", if you have the corresponding pictures, then I use first bath, tooth, smile, outing, food, bottle, etc. I always include pages for the siblings, the parents (or mom and dad separate and together), and one for each of the Grandparents, and of course baby too.
I know it seems simple, but this is what I do, and keep in mind, it is because I am trying to keep cost down as I only have her pay for the supplies, and NOT my time, and I do not know the people I am making it for. For that reason, simpler is better....and in my mind, it still looks classy, and not sloppy or barren.....

Thank you elsiej, those are really good ideas. I´ll start collecting what I have for baby girl and start sorting it to make the bases for a start. But this is a great way to start!

Don't forget holidays! I didn't take many pics of many of the traditional "firsts" but did take a ton of pictures of DD for her first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter etc., basically any time we got together with family and friends the camera came out. And I could do a whole album with just the pics from her first birthday party!

I also like to make some pages that can have any photo put in.
Titles like: "So Beautiful" "Adorable" "Precious"
When making an album for others, I like to have some elements that are continuous throughout the album. Maybe a diecut journaling spot that I put on many to most pages. Or a flower punch. Or a certain set of stamps that I use on most pages.

That´s a great idea Lavender, I was sort of thinking of using the theme butterflies for one cause I sort of remember the mom telling me she liked them, and for the other ones little animals, like owls and more foresty. You guys are being so much help thank you so much!!
