Not the news you wanted but my fingers are crossed that by the end of the week you'll be preparing for your first day at your new job!
I had my second interview on Friday and should know by this week if I get it. I applied on a whim for another job that I was offered immediately but I'm still hoping the other place offers me a job this week.

Well, they wouldn't keep interviewing you if they weren't interested, so that's good news in its own way. I hope the actual offer comes in soon and it's a lucrative one!

Even though this wasn't the offer, it certainly sounds like they're leaning towards one!
The contract that's replacing my part of the one I'm on was awarded a week ago last Thursday. This past Thursday was the "open house" with the new team of companies (Really? Three companies for this small contract?) Even though I'm listed as a critical hire, I'm not counting any chickens. The best outcome would be that they not only give me an offer, but one that's what I *should* be making (which is about $25k more than I am, because that's what the guy I replaced was making and I do more than he did so I think $25 is still well within reasonable). The new contract starts in 3 weeks (technically that Sunday, meaning I'll be unemployed for 2 days since my current company has already said if we're not staying with the company - and I can't because they aren't on the new contract- our last day is 4/29). I know it's all part of the government contract game, but that doesn't mean I have to LIKE it.

You've got this! Who wants a 22 year old brain? You have a lot of knowledge in that brain of yours. They'd be lucky to have you! I would take the boobs, but not the brain. Lol! Good luck!
