I recently posted a thread with a similar question as I work 10-12 hour days and need to pack quick and easy meals high in protein to keep me going.
Most of the time I do a version of a bento box...with fruit, veggies, protein and a carb. I always pack a little treat in it too even if it's a few squares of chocolate and I always have milk to drink. It works for me.
I also do two snacks a day, one tends to be a homemade yogurt parfait and the other is cheese and crackers and a veggie.
Rainbow posted a chart of high protein foods on my thread and I stink at linking but maybe she'll pop in and repost it. Great sources include pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, hemp hearts and nuts. Can you throw together a trail mix to munch on filled with high protein add ins for some fun?

Here's an idea: My husband's side job requires him driving all around Manhattan and Long Island in a work van delivering candy and chocolate for my Dad's company. I pack him (and sometimes, my kids!) Bento-inspired lunch boxes that he can eat on the go (I tried a salad once and he wasn't crazy about it. Too much effort. lol) I use a Rubbermaid LunchBlox container and silicone cupcake liners for the inside. I change it up all of the time but this was a recent one I posted on FB. We started eating "clean" together in January and he hasn't stopped for fast food since. Those look so good! That's the way I eat lunch, although mine is on a plate and doesn't look nearly as cute. Cheese and crackers and a cut up apple and some almonds. Hummus, peppers and pita chips, an orange and some blackberries. Grapes and string cheese and an egg with cut up veggies. It keeps me full, has lots to pick at, and a variety. I'm not big on a hot lunch.

I often have spinach salad (or mixed greens) with berries, walnuts, feta, "salad topper" from Costco (lots of seeds and dried cranberries) and cucumbers. On the side I have hard boiled eggs or a couple meatballs or a bit of roast chicken.
Yesterday I made a pot roast in the crock pot but decided I'd prefer a burrito bowl. So.....I shredded the roast, made lemon-cilantro rice, guac, salsa, corn, black beans, lettuce, cheese with jalapeno, plain greek yogurt etc. There is lots left over so my dh is taking some to work today. I've portioned some of it into small containers for my lunch tomorrow. Lots of protein and veggies. I'll literally just throw it together at lunch time. It was delicious.
What about a wrap with roast chicken, veggies some kind of sauce/dressing?

I meant to add a new find (for me) from Costco. It was a pack of cooked chicken on skewers. It came in two packs, and we ate one for dinner. I'd definitely put those in a lunch. I found it near the cheeses and lunchmeats area.

I wrap a couple of slices of turkey around a strip of red pepper and eat three of these. Sometimes I dip the wrap in hummus. It's high protein and low cal plus it's tasty. I have to eat sort of on the go because I teach 3's and they are the fastest eaters on the planet. I always have some kind of fruit as well.

Do you have a recipe? How long do they last in the fridge? Cauliflower Wraps: Pre-heat oven to 375F. -Chop cauliflower into chunks, removing stems. Take 2 cups of cauliflower and pulse in food processor until you get a texture finer than rice. -Steam cauliflower in microwave for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave 2 more minutes. -Place steamed cauliflower in dish towel and squeeze out as much water as you can. This is really hot, be careful you don't burn yourself! -Put cauliflower in bowl and add 1 egg. At this time you can add in any seasonings you like (taco, oregano, cinnamon, whatever). I prefer to make mine without seasonings. -Mix and separate into 3 balls. -Spread each ball out on a parchment lined baking sheet. They should each make about a taco-sized tortilla. -Bake at 375F for 8-10 minutes, flip each wrap, and then bake for another 5 minutes. -Keeps in freezer for 6 months. Just place in a pan over high heat to heat for serving. Thank you. I can't wait to try that!

I also just found the chicken on skewers at Costco. I laid them on top of our salad and called it dinner! They were good, Mediterranean spices. Plan to go back and get some to freeze. I also second the Laughing Cow Light Cheese. For WW'ers, each wedge is 1 point and one goes a long way spread on celery. And at 1 point a wedge, you can easily do two. Lastly, I do thin-sliced chicken, turkey or ham roll-ups. Just plain, or wrapped around pepper or a thin thin slice of cheese (I don't do fat free cheese...yuk). Love just popping cherry or grape tomatoes for a snack. But you can add the Laughing Cow on those, too! Enjoyed reading the other suggestions. Want to try making up some bento-style lunches to keep on hand each week.

Does no one realize that boredom with food could be a good thing? You aren't going to over eat food that bores you. Food shouldn't be our entertainment and that is exactly what "yummy" food is...entertaining. If you like salads well enough make it in a mason jar. Stick it in an insulated lunch bag with a couple of cold packs. I make tea in a mason jar and freeze. Use it for a cold pack. Pull over in a parking lot and take 15-30 minutes to eat. If you absolutely can't do that then eat it at stop lights. But you are human and you really really DESERVE some time to eat. It may mean eating at 11 or at 1:30 instead of right at noon. To be successful at weight loss there must be a major shift of mindset. Food is for fuel, not for entertainment. There fore boring foods are fine. You DESERVE time to properly fuel your body's system.. take it! There is nothing wrong with enjoying the food you eat. There is enough variety of healthy food available in North America that there is no need to be bored with the food, even if your goal is to lose weight. In fact, I would argue that having a variety of healthy food that you actually enjoy eating will only help keep you from slipping back into poorer eating habits.
